Decent Budget Red Dot, but Lacks Some Convenience and Quality Features
Overall, this is a decent generic red dot sight that fits well on my .22 WMR bolt action rifle. It works as expected for a budget optic, but there are a few drawbacks worth noting. Durability: It has held up okay during normal use so far, but I did have an issue with my first unit where the screw that tightens it to the rail stripped out, requiring a replacement. Material: The construction feels average for a budget optic. It’s functional, but not especially rugged or premium. Ease of Use: Installation is straightforward, but adjusting settings can be a bit frustrating due to the small, hard-to-see controls. Brightness: The red and green dot brightness is usable in different lighting conditions, but nothing particularly standout compared to higher-end optics. Battery Life: Battery life seems okay so far, but I have noticed I’ve accidentally left it on a few times. A shake-awake feature would be a big improvement. Red Dot: The 4 MOA dot is clear enough for rimfire use and works well for my setup. One downside is the control markings for turning it on/off and switching between colors—they are difficult to see. I often have to use reading glasses and a flashlight, especially when under shade or a shelter. Overall, it’s a decent budget red dot for a rimfire rifle and works fine for casual use, but it lacks some quality-of-life features and long-term durability improvements. ... show more

Works well on my 10/22
I got one of these for my 10/22. I had previously had a scope on it, but I only use it at a 25 yard indoor range and don't like the standard sights on the 10/22. I saw the Pinty Red/Green dot sight and thought for $30 I would give it a try. I didn't expect much. I spent a magazine sighting it in and it stayed accurate for several hundred rounds. I took the 10/22 apart to clean it, put it back together, and then stored it, expecting to have to sight it in again the next time I took it to the range. On the second trip to the range I was surprised that it held its zero through cleaning and transporting. As for the dot, I have astigmatism, so the Pinty, my old Tasco, and my Vortex Strikefire II, are all blured by my eyes. I checked with my phone camera and the dot on the Pinty looks reasonably clear. It may be a little big for longer distances than 25 yards. I don't know how long this sight would last on a centerfire rifle, or even on this .22, but so far it has already exceeded my expectations for a cheap red/green dot just by staying zeroed across two trips to the range and through a few hundred rounds. I'm happy with it. ... show more

Great site, just not what I was looking for.
The build quality is nice, it was just a little bulky for my build. Very easy to zero in the red dot and made the rifle accurate but I was looking for something a little smaller and cleaner. Went with a micro red dot instead and returned this. Nothing wrong with it. Mounting on my picatinny rail it was a little loose and had to crank down on the nut hard with a socket. ... show more

Definitely recommend
Well, I was skeptical, but I purchased it and mounted it. I used a laser in barrel bore sight and married it up to this optic. Very pleased. I love the green as easier to see. Shot 20 rounds at 25yds and very tight group. Ill buy more!

It's good design and customer service, but it's NOT shock resistant
Hello David, > > Thank you for your reply and for bringing this problem to our attention. We will investigate this issue with our product managers. > In this case, we decide to issue a full refund to your order. Please check your payment account later. > > You are welcome to test our other scopes. > Best regards I really like this sight, but unfortunately it requires careful handling because bumps can upset it's zero. Too bad... FYI... It's mounting on the new .22 SIG MCX PCP HPA and it allows witness sighting.... Bottom line, it's a good sight and is suitable for normal use. But it's not yet fully duty ready sight dispite it's sturdy appeance. ... show more

Great Sight for the money
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I first chose this red dot because of the cheap price point. But once I put it on my gun and used it I was amazed how nice it was and how good it worked. I highly recommend it.
