I really like the fit of these shorts. They don’t ride up but I have thin legs. They wash well and don’t come out of the dryer wrinkled. The only thing I would change is the hem around the outer short. It takes a bit of getting used to as it is a bit thick. Once I wore them for awhile I didn’t notice it at all. When I first looked at the waist, I thought seriously about sending them back as it looks odd. But oh my gosh it’s so comfortable. I wanted to love these so much, but they just weren’t a good fit. I’m a weightlifter turned ultra runner- on average, my daily runs can range from 5 miles to 20 miles. I’m very particular about the shorts I wear. I want them to be high waisted compression fit on the stomach so they stay in place - no rolling. And I want pockets on the sides to keep my keys and phone in place. And not roll up at the legs. I’ve found a few biker shorts that I really like. But wanted more runner-style shorts with the flowy fabric .. so I gave these a try. Upon first impression, I thought they were going to be perfect. So perfect, I immediately went and bought another pair in a different color. But upon putting them on, I realized they were going to be terribly uncomfortable on my long runs. While they fit perfectly and as expected in the waist, my legs were too big for them and the liner inside rolled up with every step. To be completely honest…It felt like my crotch was eating the shorts - they rode up SO bad. It was awful. Like, so uncomfortable having to pull them down every few steps. And then the chafing. Omg. Not even a half mile in, the seams were rubbing against my inner thighs.. lighting them up! They were so red by the time I finally decided I’d had enough. And the pockets… The liner of the shorts is much shorter and less compressive than I was expecting. My phone did not stay place in the pocket and neither did my car key. Just super uncomfortable all around. I originally thought, well… I’ll just wear them casually. Uh, no. Even just walking around my home in them was uncomfortable. My legs aren’t HUGE… but they’re meaty. I have a background in weightlifting, so I don’t have your typical lean runners legs. I’m running around with tree trunks for legs. So these shorts were a total disservice to me. Oh, for reference.. I am 5’3” - 138lbs - athletic build (I’m bottom heavy). I ordered a small to fit my waist. If I’d ordered a medium for my legs, I don’t think it would be comfortable in the waist. So it’s just kind of a lose/ lose situation for me. Disappointing, cause these are so cute!
