This is a really cute skirt! It does run a little small, but for me that just means I’ll pair it with a longer top. The material is extra stretchy, so even with the tighter fit it still feels comfortable. The fabric is soft and thick enough that you don’t need to worry about what you’re wearing underneath. I love the length of the slit and the little gold embellishment near the waist — nice stylish touches. This fishtail skirt is very flattering for events where you want a dressy look without a full gown. The burgundy color is rich and works well for weddings or cocktail parties. The elastic waist is comfortable and easy to pull on, and the ruched detail helps smooth the midsection a bit. The mermaid-style flare at the bottom moves nicely when walking and looks good in photos. The fabric is stretchy and soft, but it is on the thinner side. With lighter colors, I’d expect it to show lines more; in burgundy it’s more forgiving but still benefits from seamless undergarments. There’s also a slit that makes walking and sitting easier, but if you’re taller, the combination of the slit and stretch can make the skirt feel slightly shorter than expected.
