  • I Can Have the Best of Both Analog and Digital Worlds Too
Size: Leather Color: Midnight Shadow
This hybrid smartwatch is unique in a sense that I consider it a premium smart analog watch. It has an attractive display and luxurious feel to touch that screams style and sophistication. On the outside, there are three buttons, and the center of which can be used to rotate and scroll through the menus and pushed in to select. I find it very intuitive. While this watch has some useful smart features, such as heart rate and blood oxygen measurements, it's not as comprehensive as some dedicated sport watches. The app takes sometimes to getting used to, especially wanting to see data trends. This is one of the areas I would like to see the manufacturer improve on. The fact that the digital display is small, however clear, can be a little frustrating to read text notification. Also, this watch does not have built-in GPS, but it can piggyback off my phone to keep track of my workout. The downside of this is that I need to have my phone with at all time, like running outdoor, which could be a little inconvenient. On the other hand, I like the fact that it has a very good battery life, in my opinion. On average, I only need to recharge it every two to three weeks with normal use. Overall, this watch has a classic analog look and state-of-the-art smart features in an attempt to remain timeless. I think it comes pretty darn close. ... show more

  • App could use some work (Android)
Size: Sport Color: Luna Steel
This is a solid, good looking timepiece. I charged it up (about 1 hour) and went bout connecting it to my phone (Pixel 7). It took a couple attempts before it connected, but I got it. The app is well, a little clunky, and for some reason, after the first night, it lost the connection to the watch, so I had to go through the pairing process again. It did, however, keep my data, so that's good. I wanted to use it for a few days, then write this, but the app suddenly stopped working. I was on the cusp of wiping everything and starting from scratch when the vendor sent an email acknowledging some back end problems that would be resolved with a coming app update (it should be in a few days) so for now, my only interaction is with the watch itself, which is quite limited on the tiny screen. It also doesn't appear that I'm getting notifications with the app down. Two things I can't seem to get working, though may be related to the app issues. I cannot get blood oxygen readings in the app (when it was working) and the compass never calibrates, just shows the infinity symbol for well, infinity. I got about 1 week on the initial charge, which is a bit disappointing. I'm optimistic that being newly set up a long with the app issues that it will settle into a groove and go a bit longer. I don't really expect the "up to 30 days" as usually you have to turn off a bunch of features to achieve that. I'm OK charging once every couple weeks, especially since it only takes about 1 hour. Physically, it is a little thicker and heavier than my stainless steel regular watch. I had the pins pop out on me twice in the first couple days, but they seem to be fine now. It looks like the watch was jostled pretty good in the box (see photo of watch dislodged in the box) so perhaps they were not seated properly. Everything seems fine now. I really want to like the watch, so I'm being patient and hoping the app fix promised in the coming days makes it a viable daily watch. ... show more

  • Nice attempt at a Smartwatch but just too many rough edges
Size: Leather Color: Azure Horizon
This is a nice attempt to create a smartwatch that is both modern and pays homage to classic Italian design. For the dedicated pininfarina fan, this feels like a decent watch, and the hybrid analog/smartwatch aspect is cool, but overall there are just too many rough edges for this to feel like a product that is ready for the masses. I'll pick a few to talk about that you might also run into: The first issue I ran into was how to get the watch to charge. It doesn't feel like the included cradle was designed for this watch. Even after spending quite a bit of time and making sure all of the protective plastic was removed from the watch, I could not get the watch body to sit flat on the cradle. It didn't help that the cradle was very very light, and that the watch came completely uncharged (more on that later). Eventually I decided to take a leap of faith and push very hard on the watch to make it sit in the cradle and sure enough the watch then started charging from 1%. The watch like most smart watches has a companion app that runs on your phone. It does have a pretty decent set of features, and options, including syncing to Apple Health which I really appreciate. However, I noticed that there were a few settings that were only on the watch and not adjustable via the app, like 12/24 hour time. Unexpectedly, there were some rather simple things you just can't customize, like showing "Month Day" instead of "Day Month"; this watch seems fixed with Day Month, at least with the software / firmware at the time of writing. There were then things that stood out to me as unrefined and/or incomplete. Firstly, I could not find any way to manually Power Off the watch, despite a few references to this in the manual where you're asked to do this in some situations. This could explain why my watch arrived with a dead battery. They just never implemented any power off option, which is very strange considering the battery life is a few weeks and not a few years. Oh and by the way, the manual is just written as a simple and brief 'Word document' (including the paper size of the PDF). Secondly, while the small circular display looks great and is easier to read than expected (both in terms of contrast and in terms of the small real estate for showing Messages from your smartphone), there is a line of pixels cut off which feels like an oversight. Overall, this watch and this style of hybrid smartwatch has a lot of potential. However, there are a lot of rough edges that I'm not sure if will ever be fixed. ... show more
