Having worn glasses for most of my life, I've gone through a wide variety of retaining straps/cords/etc. during my military and law enforcement careers. Although my most recent prescription eyewear had a lightweight, titanium frame that stayed in place under most conditions, I just went through cataract surgery, and now only require reading glasses. I ended up having a couple pairs of glasses ordered, with a very minor correction on top, and reading bifocal on the bottom, so that I can read and watch TV without peering over the top of supermarket readers. While one pair is using my awesome titanium frames, I got a backup pair which uses the frame the VA issued me. This set doesn't fit well, and always slides down my nose, and falls off if I lean too far forward. I took a chance that the Pilotfish No Tail cable strap would not be annoying and cumbersome like the straps I'd used before, and I'm glad I did. This cable retainer is lightweight, well-made, functions perfectly, and is super comfortable! I'm also impressed that this retainer has a lifetime warranty. Although I will only need this one, I will also be sure to tell all my glasses-wearing friends about Pilotfish cable retainers...they are that awesome!

They do a good job of holding my glasses on, and there’s no strap tail to catch on things. I wish the adjustable strap was stretchy. The two plastic grabber sections initially held onto eyeglass arms well, but they stretch over time and get loose and just fall off. I tried adhering tiny non-slip material on the arms, and that helped but the grabber kept stretching. Eventually i just hot glued the grabbers onto the arms. Even with all that, i like the product.

These fit your glasses and will not slip down your nose—ever. While not a fashion statement, they are hard to spot while protecting your glasses, and they are a godsend. They last a really long time too. Easily adjusted and you can easily loosen them to take your glasses off. Then cinch them when they are on your face. They are reasonably priced and a must have.

When I was riding, before I purchased these, my glasses would always be falling off and I would be messing around with them. They are easy to attach. These adjust all the way open easily for putting glasses on and close down enough to hold glasses steady. Buy the correct size. I bought both sizes and returned one. The one I kept fits perfect. I have had these for 2 years and they are holding up. I even bought a 2nd pair I keep in my vehicle. The ends are large enough to fit big glasses, but if the arms of your glasses are too small the ends slip off. I'm happy with them.

Fantastic cables. Better than the Costa. The rubbers a little bit softer than the Costa, which means that it sticks better and doesn't come off like the Costas do. Also the sliders are smaller and thinner than the Costas which are square and bulky, so these are more comfortable if you use a helmet like I do for cycling or riding.
