The thermo- sensitive gel ink formula disappears with the erasing friction of your FriXion pen. Erasing leaves no residue or debris and each pen can write on the same spot that has been erased. Note: FriXion Erasable Ink is not recommended for signatures or official legal documents. If ink/pen is exposed to temperature that reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit, the ink will appear colorless when writing. To restore color, cool to at least 14 degrees Fahrenheit in freezer and the ink will again write in color. Let's face it, we could all stand to reduce our waste. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could purchase Frixion pen refills rather than replacing the whole pen. The refills were received in the Pilot branded package (3 refills per pack). I ordered 05 Black Extra Fine refills and the order came in quickly and accurately. Before buying, it is best to take a look at the cartridge you are replacing by removing it from the pen shell - twist the body of the shell to open. if your pen is a clicker, the shell will twist open just above the rubber grip. Please note that clicker pens appear to have a slightly different configuration on the rear of the refills, so make the appropriate selection. The number on the cartridge should coincide with the number on the body of the pen. The 05 means that the cartridge is for a 5mm Extra Fine replacement. Great value. I purchased a 3 pack of refills on October 27th and it’s now November 22nd and I just put the last refill in my pen. I take notes for class once or twice a week- there’s no reason for 2 pen refills to be used up in less than a month, is there? This has happened with more than one batch so I’m on the lookout for a new erasable pen that hopefully lasts longer ... show more

I use a black, Frixion pen, in my MakseLife planner and it’s the best choice. Writes cleanly, erases cleanly and is just soft enough to differentiate from the pre-planning which I do in gel ink. I don’t share my planner on any social platforms, but I like them to look neat. Using pencil is not an option due to smudging. Black pen looks the neatest to me, but the permanent nature makes me leery. I know using a dry line correction tape is an option, but that scratches off or sticks to the pen tip. ... show more
