I needed a small bookshelf and this is it! Not meant to be an heirloom, it is a functional shelf design made of a dense foamy plastic with flat white surfaces. The parts hammer together with a little dexterity. Then there are 16 screws and a little screw driver to insure secure fit. I used an electric screwdriver for quick screwing, but one MUST NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS WITH AN ELECTRIC SCREWDRIVER. The final tightening was done with the provided tiny screwdriver, and with a couple of light rubber hammer taps on the screwdriver at the end of the tightening then tighten more. One must be careful not to strip the material by over tightening. The hammer tapping seemed to push the countersunk heads a bit at a time into the soft plastic surface. You can see the assembly instructions in the photo provided. Shelf comes in 9 parts. Best assembled with a rubber hammer, but with a sheet of paper between the parts and the hammer head to prevent black marks on the white shelving material. Looks OK. Originally bought this as a shelf for my bathroom to hold extra toilet paper, but my teen daughter (after much convincing) took it as the “perfect size night stand” (her words) for her room. It’s shorter, so she doesn’t have to do any reaching and struggling to access her books/snacks when she feels like laying in bed and chilling. Super lightweight and easy to move to clean behind, hold some of her favorite books with room to spare, easy to assemble (took me 5-10 mins), and is pretty functional as a nightstand/bookshelf given I bought “something cheap to hold toilet paper” originally lol. Looks cute and overall was Worth the purchase! Now I gotta order 1 more so I can actually get one in my bathroom finally LOL ... show more

This is extremely small. It’s made of plastic. But I found it to be pretty sturdy actually. They send you the necessary screw driver. It was very easy to put together. All of that being said, I don’t think it looks very good at all. It’s clearly very cheap. I am wondering if it will eventually sag under my books. It definitely delicate and easy to break. Do I like it? Yes. It serves the purpose I need it to. Do I love it? No. I think I this would probably be worth $25 reasonably. My bad I should have measured it. But it looks so silly next to my big couch. ... show more

I’m a little torn with this table, you see it’s actually perfect for what I need it for which should give it a five star review. However, the material from which it is made is so cheap, spongy and flimsy that I cannot give it more than three stars. It is perfect if you need a small side table somewhere to hold a small lamp or a cup of tea but not more. it’s a bit of a pain to put together because you need to use some force, but it feels like you’re going to break it if you do! I guess for the price you cannot expect any more than what you get. ... show more

It looked like it was going to be a problem with "some assembly required" since everything is in pieces but lo and behold everything was there including the screwdriver and if you follow the very clear pictorial instructions it goes together exactly as require and the result is a very nice small light little storage shelf that's perfect for my bathroom!!! ... show more

I am going to be brutally honest here- I have to say this is probably one of the lowest-quality items I’ve ever received from Amazon in my life. For reference, I ordered the Walking With Dinosaurs book when it first came out. That’s a rather large list to find yourself at the bottom of. Opening the box, I saw that it came with gloves. Weird, I thought, until I started touching the pieces. The whole thing is covered in some kind of sawdusty residue, it’s very unpleasant, and gets everywhere as you’re handling the pieces. Gloves now understood, although it’s odd that it’s acknowledged enough that they included gloves in the first place, rather than it being something that’s handled before shipping. Putting it together is simple enough. The whole thing fits together sort of like puzzle pieces - they have waves and notches where they connect. And that would be fine, but herein lies the problem. The whole thing is made of some extremely cheap material, nearly akin to a heavier styrofoam. It literally chipped and cracked itself with each piece I assembled, due to the product itself not being able to withstand the force necessary to push the little plugs into their slots. I did not Incredible Hulk my way through this, I’m literally saying, putting the thing together even carefully will actively chip away at and potentially break it as you are doing it. This thing gives the phrase “don’t beat yourself up” a whole new meaning. Also, the side pieces - they don’t really hold on to each other. Although it’s small, don’t expect to put this together on your lap, it will fall apart as you’re trying to build it. Do it on a flat surface like a table. Finally assembled, it doesn’t really look that nice. The wavy-puzzle piece like parts are clearly visible and evident. The completed stand is light and easy to move around. Just to give you an idea, you could probably chuck it over your roof if you wanted to. I probably wouldn’t put too much weight on it seeing as the pieces could barely withstand being snapped (lol) together, but it should be able to hold some books and a lamp or clock. So, in the end, it does serve its purpose. I have not wobble tested mine, if you would like to wobble test yours, you should probably order two. I would say, if you have just moved and need temporary budget filler items until you buy nicer things, sure, go ahead. Otherwise, just buy something else. ... show more

It is perfect. I almost didn't order due to some of the review. Because it was the perfect size for what I needed, I decided to take a chance. So glad I did. Went together very easily and fast. Not sure what it is made of but it is light and sturdy. I know some people complained about the quality, but the price was right! I mean if you want oak, you pay for oak. Others didn't like the screws. I think you can actually leave them out, or even put white paint on. So I give it a 5 star. ... show more
