Does what it's made to do, but very noisy. My overdriven tube amp without a noise gate is still quieter than the white noise coming through this cable. And you still hear it with a noise gate engaged.

I got this unit to power pedals for my practice amp, and it works perfectly. I chose this because of the 1amp/1000mA power rating and output because some of the pedals in my collection are really power hungry - especially my old 1st edition ProCo RAT (it requires a separate polarity switching 9v adapter cable). The same goes for the MojoMojo and Pipeline pedals pictured below. They need more milliamps than most. Anyway, this one from Pigtone works great. There's plenty of length on the main power cord module, and plenty of length between the five adapters. The connections are all solid, and even with the full five pedals pictured with a clean setting on my amp, there was almost no noise from the power unit. I'm very pleased with this, and it's a solid value. I have a similar/larger nine-unit daisy-chain TrueTone OneSpot that I love, but it's only half the power rating at 500mA. It serves me well, but when I add in some really hungry pedals, I do notice some noise. This one's a winner. ... show more

I only power 2 devices from it and it works well at a cost much lower than individual wall warts. Only complaint is the cables are a bit of a chore to store but all are that way - still better than 5 individual wall warts as a much lower price. he cables are long enough to reach the devices.

    • Very Noisy Power Supply. Beware.

I thought I found a bargain here, but after using this for a couple of months, I cannot use it. My Fender tube amp has been buzzing since I started using this pedal. I run 3 pedals -- A TC Electric Tuner -- A "Dumbler" Boost -- and A Phasor, what we used to call a "Phase Shifter." Both the Dumbler and Phasor are $50 minipedals. I'm not happy with them, but alone, they do not produce noise. Neither does the TC tuner pedal, which is full sized. I've been doing everything trying to make this work -- separating them, moving them 1 foot away from each other, changing the order. Finally I bought a new set of tubes from Stew Mac. Nothing helped. Then I plugged the entire rig into another, Solid-State amp. It's a 4 channel keyboard amp from Roland, as no one wants 60 Hz noise in their synth output unless it's been programmed to be there, this amp is very quiet. Sometimes I don't know it's running, as I never switch it or the big Yamaha stage piano, off. I use two of these on stage, as the output of the S90ES is stereo, and I can link the amps together as Left and Right channels. I never hear noise from those amps. The rig was still noisy. I then tried another power supply -- bingo, the noise disappeared. It's too late to return to Amazon - bought it last year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. None of these cheap Chinese devices come with a warantee card. So, I'll buy something else that advertises low noise. By the way, I was trained and earned an undergraduate degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, although I'm now retired. This is a solid state device. There is no physical reason a solid state power supply should be noisy, other than poor shielding, defective parts (usually a PCB, but even a bad cap can make noise,) and poor manufacturing technique, combined with poor testing protocol.
