The elasticity, & comfort. I can really go deep in my squats. Allows me to work on my form without ripping them. I also wear them for hikes, running, walking or for any occasion. These shorts are really comfortable and look great if you have muscular legs. They are not too short or too long. I love wearing these on leg days at the gym and the zippered pockets are great for preventing keys from falling out of pockets. My only concern is the long term durability. Upon close inspection, the stitching is not the best and some threading was loose, so I can't speak for how these will hold up in time. I have about six pairs of these shorts (black, white, red, dark grey, light grey, and navy), and they are the most comfortable thing that I have ever worn! Of course, there are other comfortable clothes out there, like sweat pants, but these look great on top of being comfortable. I recently got comments from strangers about how good they looked on me. If it were up to me, everything would fit, feel, and look as good as these shorts. I am hoping that more color options become available, so I can buy more. The only negative that I have experienced with these shorts is in the pocket zippers. The tag piece (what you pull) often gets twisted and is hard to get back into the correct position so that you can use it to zip/unzip the pockets. It is made of a very light metal, so you need to be very careful not to break it. This can make zipping/unzipping the pocket a bit of a pain, but isn't something that typically causes a problem. In general I do not recommend these shorts as I have had a ton of issues with the zipper not staying closed (even when “zipped”) causing my phone to fall out etc. during workouts.

Received these shorts yesterday. They look very nice and the fit is true to size. I play volleyball and would wear my tights underneath since it’s a little short but if you workout in the gym super cool as is. I ordered a few other colors now.
