Other than Amazon.com, I could not find this company (Phrixus) anywhere on the internet. This is an issue since my life is on the line. I contacted the company to see if they would respond. They did respond very quickly, and let me know that they are a reseller for the manufacturer, and attached the safety certifications ("TAIZHOU ZOUTIANYA ROPE INDUSTRY CO.,LTD. And These are the certifications of UIAA and CE."). The mfr website provides more information along with the certificates. So far, so good. I use them both for safety and also to lift material with block and tackle. I would not have purchased them without the safety certs, but since they promptly provided them, I felt it was good value for the price. ... show more

Got this rope for establishing sport climbs top down. Was a bit skeptical of this rope but given the price and certification decided to go for it. I’m currently establishing routes at a cliff where the rock is pretty sharp and i recently core shot a different rope while jugging. Yesterday I Rapped the full 300ft length of this new static line and jugged back up the whole thing. It was also quite wet and the rope got soaked in places. The rope held up great! This is a lot of rope! If you plan on doing a really long rappel, this is the rope to get. It’s static rope, so don’t use it for lead climbing. Also, it’s quite heavy, so it’s really only worth it if you need to rappel 300 feet. But if you are doing long rappels, this is your best choice.

I have ropes from Petzl, Samson and Teufelberger, I just needed a shorter black rope for saddle hunting! Horrible, it showed up unwound and frayed in several places! As I ran my hand down the rope I could feel many weak places. I WOULDNT USE THIS ROPE AS A LEASH FOR MY DOG!

It's some rope, use it for steep roof inspections and it holds just find, resists ridge abrasion, I don't know that I would use it for legitimate climbing.
