The picture of the back of the package says a lot. First, it was missing on the Amazon listing. I put one bulb in paired with my original 3.5-year old DRL/high beam. 55,000 miles on the 2020 Toyota 4Runner... My original light was just as bright if not possibly a little brighter than this bulb. The coloration was about the same, although the Japanese made bulb seemed to have a slightly larger hotspot which made it look like it was whiter light. On other websites, the longevity chart for the 9005's is pictured at twice as high as on my package. Minor consolation is that they're made in Germany. Vosla-brand lights in Germany are made in the same plant, I saw the same production codes between the Philips brand and the Vosla. New halogen bulbs should be brighter than old bulbs, that's natural. Not much brighter than 55k DRLs. I bought multiple lights because Amazon throws them around. All 6 pieces looked like they were beaten. At the discounted price of under $4 each, I thought it would have been a good move, but they were not as described. Matching their description description would have been a slam dunk to keep all of them. ... show more

Watch a YouTube video to see how to install these in my 2021 Kia. It took me only 10 minutes to do and it lit up very nicely. I just don't have a comment on the longevity yet since I just installed it today. Will update later!

Perfect replacement on my 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser for the "9005" High Beam/Day Time Running Lamps. I looked at all the options and these were by far the best deal "$3.59 Per bulb" when I purchased them 3/2023. A direct OEM replacement that is every bit as bright as the higher end bulbs that had burned out. Hard to go wrong with these, being a name brand as well as a fraction of the price I would highly recommend these bulbs. My Phillips 9005 bulbs were made in Germany and arrived safe in there retail packaging in just a vinyl Amazon mailing bag. ... show more
