Philips 9-watt PL-S TUV PL-S Compact Fluorescent Non-Integrated (CFL-ni) lamps are compact UVC (germicidal) lamps used in residential water and air disinfection units. The compact size of the lamp allows for a small system design and design flexibility. TUV PL-S lamps have a protective inside coating that ensures contact UV output over their complete lifetime for maximum security of disinfection and high system efficacy. Thanks to the single-ended lamp base, lamp replacement is easy.

Same quality brand bulb for my Electrolux Guardian Air Platinum for a reasonable price. If course, it fits and works as it should. Replace it yourself and save, it's simple. Time will tell how long it will last, but I expect it will last several years like the exact same bulb I replaced.

    • Good product... Amazon packaging pitiful
I bought one of these about 2 years ago from Amazon. It came packaged the same way this one did - rattling around in a corrugated cardboard box with no bubble wrap or other packaging. It had a much shorter lifespan than the bulb it replaced. This bulb came packaged exactly the same way... If you are paying nearly $15 for a lightbulb, I think it's reasonable to expect that Amazon would ship a light bulb with bubble wrap around it. For pities sake!!! It's a light bulb - an expensive, highly specialized, sturdy one - but a light bulb!!! I am anticipating a shorter lifespan from this lightbulb due to the careless (and cheap) way it was shipped.... ... show more
