**Background:** I'm coming back to the game partly because my two children, who are nearly adults, want to learn how to play. I'm really impressed with all the new technology and improvements. Game-improvement irons are a big help for beginners learning the game. Although I haven't played in a long time, I used to play at a very high level, so the game improvements and irons aren't exactly what I'm after, but these would be perfect for my children. **Build Quality:** I'm totally amazed at the good quality you can get at this price point, and these clubs are a great example. I decided to put these clubs to a real test by playing a round of golf with them. I set aside my clubs, which cost several thousand dollars, and gave these a try. First, they are definitely on the shorter side. I believe they are about three-quarters of an inch shorter than standard length. The swing weights are also lighter, and the shafts are definitely on the lighter side of regular flex. However, the iron head designs are really good—very forgiving with plenty of pop. They are a bit de-lofted, so if your club says seven iron, it's actually more like a six iron in loft. The woods are large and forgiving. They do produce a slightly strange sound, like they're filled with foam, but that doesn't affect performance—it's just the sound. I was very impressed with nearly every club in this set. I think these would certainly suit a beginner for the first year or two, maybe even longer. The weakest point is the bag, which isn’t very carry-friendly. It's really designed for a push cart or riding cart—the straps sit on the opposite side, and the two side pouches could be in the way if you carried it on your shoulder for an entire round. The overall material and build quality are definitely on the budget side. But most importantly, these clubs perform exceptionally well for this price, and you can definitely play a decent round with them. I found them much easier to hit than my higher-end clubs costing thousands more, especially the irons. The putter was okay, but I’m used to a 38” putter that costs more than this entire set. I believe this is a much better option for beginners than grabbing an old set of clubs out of the garage, especially the irons. They are much more forgiving than models made 15-20 years ago, which will make the game more enjoyable for learners. My only concern is that I ordered the standard length, but I think these are actually short, and I wouldn't recommend them for anyone over 5’8”. It's a bit of an oversimplification. It depends more on how far your arms are from the ground than your overall height. The color of the bag is blue, and the matching head covers match. Overall, I think this is a great set for beginners. There's a lot of attention to detail. For example, the wedge is a full-face wedge, meaning the grooves run from heel to toe. Many beginners—and even experienced players—used to wedges with grooves only at the toe, but having grooves that extend all the way to the end provides more grip, more spin, and more control.

I was skeptical about the quality of these clubs for the price but decided to give them a shot since there are gaps in my existing Wilson Profile Platinum set that I wanted to fill. I've only been playing with any regularity for about 9 months and a total of 2 years so I'm still learning. I'm 6'2" so I need a +1 club size which the PGF offered where many other cheaper sets do not offer a longer club. I was specifically looking for a 4 hybrid to fill the distance gap between my 6 iron and 3 wood. I wound up being very surprised at the quality of the clubs. My existing 3 wood was an add on since the original set did not have one. It was not a +1 so it has always felt short and I've been topping the ball a fair amount. I've been extremely happy with the PGF 3 wood performance by comparison with the Adams I had and the 4H is delivering that gapped distance I was missing. The clubs are a bit heavier than the Wilson's which I was worried would reduce swing speed and distance. The clubs are weighted in the right way that my swing speed did not slow much (I'm only in the 90s for a driver) but the proper length is allowing a better solid hit resulting in increased distance. I compared the irons on the course to my Wilson's and found their slightly larger face to increase my quality of strike resulting in more consistent straightness. The putter has a nice balanced feel but I am not using it since I have a higher quality one in my bag. Speaking of the bag - very solid with more dividers than my Wilson which is wonderful for keeping the clubs separated more effectively. It is extremely durable canvas with ample space and a cover which I love for transport. The grips are a bit rough for my hands. I wish they had a smoother leathery feel to them but for the price I can't complain. The one other wish would be legs to stand the bag up. It is a noticeable miss for carrying the bag on the course. Far beyond my expectations, the majority of this set is replacing what I have in my bag (and the bag too!). Fantastic for a beginner that is looking for a forgiving set of clubs with good feel, distance, and at a very reasonable price.
