I did the 8 ounces to 1 gallon of water with my little hand pump tank sprayer. Took about 40 minutes to spray the entire lawn and one 32oz bottle, but it looked phenomenal afterwards. When you consider how great it looks afterwards, how much money you’re saving on water, and how much you’re saving on fertilizer it actually is not a bad way to go. Even if he had to do it every three or four weeks the cost is so inexpensive to do it’s worth it. Wish I would’ve taken before pictures. You would really appreciate the difference. The small side strip next to the truck was completely dead and brown as was the larger corner next to the driveway.

This product definitely does what it claims. We shall see if it harms the lawn in any way but as of yet, there doesn't seem to be an issue. It works amazing on lawn sections where there is still some green grass mixed with dead patches. On larger areas where the lawn is scorched, you can definitely tell that the lawn has been painted. But from afar (approximately greater than 6 feet away) it definitely looks better than dead grass. As a side note, my container arrived without a cap. A new container was sent out without issue asap... great customer service!

The media could not be loaded. I tried out this grass paint to spruce up some brown patches in my lawn. While it didn’t match the natural green of the grass perfectly, it was still a nice improvement over the dead spots. The 32 ounce bottle made about 4 gallon of paint, which covered a small area well. A few things to keep in mind: make sure to adjust your sprayer nozzle with just water before starting to avoid any messy application. Using disposable gloves and shoes you don’t mind turning green are a must, as the paint can be a bit splattery. It’s best to shake the bottle well to ensure an even color. For small areas, this product is convenient and a bit of a fun DIY. I used a circular motion until the grass looked slightly wet, which helped achieve a more even coating. Plan out your path ahead to avoid stepping on freshly painted spots. In terms of cons, I found the process a bit time-consuming and felt the price could be better. For larger areas, it may not be worth the effort, and I don’t think I’d go through this process again. However, for small spots, it works fairly well and is worth a try if you’re looking to touch up a few dead areas.

Amazing! I know this is for grass but I used it on a mature and browning arborvitae. Photos are before and after. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and even after spring downpours, the paint is still holding almost a month later! Much better results than I expected and super easy to mix and use in a little gallon sprayer. Took me about an hour from beginning to end. Really freshened up the greenery and made it look healthy - you can't tell it's been dyed at all, it blended in really nicely. I would definitely purchase this product again - I might try to look for a slightly lighter green to match the arborvitae, but otherwise the product was perfect.

GARBAGE. PLEASE do not buy this product. It's simply watered down rinse off. It does not cover anything. It will slightly darken light , yellowish grass but will not cover brown spots. I threw away $33 dollars. I rarely write negative reviews but I simply had to say something. I'm going to try the grass spray paint. 4k purchased it and gave it high ratings. At least the concentration will be stronger. I just need it for spot treatment after I use my weed kill which kills the weed but leaves ugly brown spots. Trial and error. You will see how useless this product is once you apply it to your grass. See pic. This is sprayed. It covered nothing. I do not recommend.

UPDATE 8/18/24- The last picture is after watering 2 times and then last night, we had a thunder/lightning storm with torrential rain for over an hour. Today, we had another brief storm with hail and rain. As you can see by the picture, the paint has held up extremely well and the grass still looks lush and green. Get this paint! It works!! Original review - Since our city is under watering restrictions, I can only water the lawn Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. We've had some very hot days and much to my dismay, my lawn was getting brown. I had tried a different brand of lawn paint and it didn't look good (almost a neon green and some parts of grass were a weird light green) and I could tell that it wasn't good for the grass. I did some more research and ordered PetraMax max strength grass paint. Unfortunately, I don't have a battery pump sprayer, so I mixed up the paint and put it in a hand held trigger spray bottle. That took a very long time to complete my entire lawn but for me it was worth it. This paint blends so nicely with the grass. Even up close with the sun on it, it looks real and not fake. I did order a battery pump sprayer and will go over the lawn again. (Lol) It dried very quickly and when I ran my hand over the grass, there wasn't any transfer of paint to my hand. I did wear disposable gloves and even though I did not get any paint on me, it would be good to wear old clothes and shoes. It does wash off your skin very easily though. Mix it up in a place where you don't mind if it drips. I used a cardboard box to set everything in. I watered my lawn the next morning and the paint didn't run off or fade. Hoping for it to last a few weeks or longer. If you're looking for a realistic looking lawn paint, this is the one to get!
