It’s Summertime and we have water restrictions where I live. I let the lawn get brown and needed something to make it look halfway decent while waiting for the rain to come back and to get back on a watering schedule. I’ve added before and after photos of my lawn for the before and after. I added 12 oz to 1.5 gallons of water because I wasn’t sure how “green” it would look. I think I’ll go with 12 oz to 1 gallon next time when I re-apply. It took about 1.5 gallons to cover my ~20ft x 20ft lawn, so consider this if you order. I used a hand-pump 2-gallon multi-purpose sprayer to spread the paint. It was less than $20 for the sprayer, I don’t think you need one of those $100+ battery sprayers unless you plan on covering a much larger area. I had to stop and “re-pump” a couple times to cover ~20ft x 20ft. Overall I’d give it 4.25/5 stars. It does the job. My lawn doesn’t look so bad now and Ill reapply as needed and follow-up with any significant changes. ... show more

Update: I used this product the beginning of June when the backyard end result photo was taken. Then additional photo of the backyard allows people to see the longevity of the product. The second photo was taken 30 days after. That area had no rain or sprinklers to wash away color so this is just the products natural fade over a one month period in full sun. We have a sprinkler system, did all the recommended spring time fertilizers and our grass died in large spots due to extreme temp variations. BUT then there is this product. At least it’s a lifesaver and will save your sanity. Extremely cost effective alternative to wasting water or buying tons of chemicals to fix it. If you have light to mid green colors this will blend perfectly. If you want a darker green I suggest you look into other brands. It is easy to mix and spray with an electric backpack sprayer. I did my own ratio to blend into our lighter green grass. 2 gallons of concentrate allowed me to do 1.5 acres with large areas of dead grass. This took me about 8 hours to do and cost $170. We moved into a house recently, well be redoing the backyard in a year or so. But in the meantime, the lawn goes totally dormant in the winter. Like totally brown, no hint of green at all on most of it. I thought I’d give this paint a try, hopefully make it a little more pleasant to look at all winter. I was very pleasantly surprised! It made what essentially looked like a dirt lot into something that looks like a lawn. These pictures aren’t great, it makes it look a little streaky, but when it dried that went away completely. It looks totally natural. No, my application doesn’t look like a fully beautiful, thick lush green lawn. But, I was starting from completely brown, very patchy grass. Also I only did one coat, not too heavy (a second coat would make it much darker). How long it will last, I’ll see. If I can get a couple months, I’ll be very pleased and reapply it. Obviously, you have to have some grass to paint. It does nothing to dirt. I note it is a water based paint, so cleanup is easy. It might stain clothes (idk), but you don’t need to wear gloves, it cleans up with soap and water. My only gripe is it’s a bit expensive. No horribly so, but would be nice if it were a little less. But that’s not a major complaint, I’m happy so far even at the price. I’ll update in a couple months. ... show more

I used a new fertilizer and it made burnt streaks in my lawn. Of course the biggest patch was by my front door and bothered the hell out of me . I used this product on it and I have to say it did a good job getting rid of the brown. Other smaller areas blended great ! Gave me peace of mind until I can seed the bad areas . And Yes this stuff is a secret weapon against your neighbors for touch ups if your a lawn nut . Lol ... show more

I’ll be honest. I have a slight yard obsession. I treat mine quarterly with Sunday Lawn and I water it. However, I contstantly have neighbors who let their dogs piss in my yard. Does it upset me? Yes. Do they care about my cameras? No! Honestly, they are probably jealous my yard looks so good. Needless to say, I needed something to cover up the pee spots. Behold… this product!! Did I feel dirty using it in the wee hours of the morning so my neighbors didn’t know my secret? You bet your ass I did! Does it blend in? Absolutely! I was actually really shocked. doesnt cover as much as advertised if you want nice dark green lawn, but it does look good. We are in severe drought, the HOA demanded I return my lawn to green. I refused to consume large amounts of water in the heat of July. Used this and fit a thank you letter from the HOA for restoring a green lawn. ... show more

This stuff is magic. We don’t water our front or side lawns in the summer so they’re quite crispy. This stuff works incredibly well! Would highly recommend if you aren’t looking to waste a bunch of water ($$) in the hot summer months.
