We had an odd shaped yard but it was easy to install this turf. The turf is woven in a straight line under neath and it was easy to follow to get clean cuts. Surprisingly it was hard to cut it with a razor blade but was really easy with scissors! It does say its 1.38 inches long for the fake grass and it does say it has many layers but you will still need some padding underneath if you want it soft. We went with rubber mulch because I wanted there to be great drainage for my pets. I read online and saw videos of how sand reacts to urine or liquid and thats why there is a lingering smell with sand based turfs. If you have pets, which is what this is made for make sure to put down a medium that is great for drainage. Do your research, we did rubber mulch because its soft and I have children who will be playing on it. I also read online its great for drainage which will help with the smell when my dogs go to the bathroom on it. ... show more
