It has a sort of staining effect and makes a nice shade. It is ph related so the color was kinda uneven on my lips. It was also really bitter. I recommend using chapstick or something before this because it has 0 moisturization. I attempted to use it when my lips were dry and they didn't do anything in terms of moisture, my lips were still dry.
