I’ve been on the hunt for years for a sturdy, smooth, crisp, thick percale sheet. I wanted something that was reminiscent of the quality, long lasting percale sheets that used to be made in America before most of our textile industry moved over to China, India, and the Middle East. I’ve finally found them with these! Yes they wrinkle, but that’s to be expected with 100% cotton. Especially when it’s woven into a percale weave. I can’t attest to the durability of these because I’ve only had them a few days but it seems like they’ll last for years. If you’re looking for the perfect percale sheets of old don’t hesitate to by this brand.

I purchased my original set of Pima Peru cotton sheets in January 2020. The sheets are holding up well after nearly 3 years, and a second sent is needed in my household. The color was as shown. It doesn't matter to me that they aren't wrinkle free; they are soft enough, not slippery or create heat. Perfect sheets. Worth every penny.

I don't like writing a product review shortly after receiving, but because of sizing, I thought it was important. Quick points. 1. These sheets are at the limit of fit for mattresses, like ours, that are 12 inches. You can see from the photo that a portion of the mattress peeks out from the fitted bottom sheet, but it's really not an issue one we get our comforter. I'd say that a 12" mattress is getting close to the limit for the top sheet as well as there was *just enough * extra to tuck under the mattress. This is the only shortcoming. 2. Elastic on fitted sheet seems robust. Certainly as good, if not better than our sheets from a famous higher end brand. 3. Very comfortable after the first wash. If you like percale, you will be surprised with the softness after the first wash. 4. Wrinkles. Lots of soft wrinkles out of the dryer and that's just how we like it. It's cotton percale... 5. Piling... Can't comment, but *should * not be an issue given its Pima cotton. I will try to revisit in a year. Borderline fit aside, we will be buying another set soon. Note to manufacturer: I would make your sheets larger to at least accommodate mattresses up to 14-16“

Finally! Let me start by saying a few things; the sheets wrinkle out of the dryer, yes of course they do, they are 100% cotton! That IS what cotton does. The best way to deal with that (if that’s an issue for you) is to a) pull them out of the dryer early and lay them flat to dry b) avoid the dryer completely and hang them to dry or c) run an iron over them, before putting them on your mattress (this is my method). I have struggled with sleep issues for the majority of my life; I’ve been dubbed “the princess and the pea”. I have spent countless hours searching; thousands of dollars buying and returning, or settling for subpar quality; purchasing from high end, name brand retailers for the real deal 100% cotton, percale sheets. And finally, These are them. As soon as I pulled them out of the packaging, I knew I would be ordering more. To be fair to some reviewers, I can not attest to the quality of the elastic around the fitted sheet, but mine seems sturdy and well constructed. And the only conclusion I can gather from reviewers who are unhappy about the wrinkling, is that they have grown accustomed to owning sheets that are not truly 100% cotton; and are likely cotton blend, with some synthetic fabric. Because cotton wrinkles. It’s the very nature of the fabric. The value for the quality of these sheets is outstanding! I spent twice as much, for my current sheet set, close to 10 yrs ago, from another high end brand; and they were never as thick as these are. If you’re looking for that crisp, cool, cotton sheet that (if you’re like me) grew up with, or like you’ve slept on in quality hotels; look no further, these are it.

Nope. If you're a true sheet junkie you won't like these. Rough as hell. Not percale. They wrinkle like percale but they don't even come close to the smoothness. I'd buy linen sheets before these. I could wash these sheets with pumice stones and the stones would come out softer. I'll update this review in two years to see if it was worth the exfoliation during the interim.

I've had these about two months, washed every week, and I'm still not quite satisfied. Perhaps my problem is the difference between percale and sateen. Several people here have explained the difference, so check those out of you're unfamiliar. I had a somewhat pricey set of sateen that I used for nine years! I loved them and wouldn't give them up, until they did start looking a bit ragged. Mostly I decided to give them up because the elastic in the bottom sheet was gone. One tends to slip around. I like a change sometimes, so I bought these percale sheets. They wrinkle pretty seriously (but this is no big deal for me). They're not quite wide enough, so they have to be pulled and retucked almost like the old sheets. And my main gripe - they're SO SCRATCHY! As I said, I haven't slept on percale since I was a child, but these also say "pima" cotton, which is all I buy for tee-shirts, and Pima is SOFT! These are not. I'm not sure why I keep using them. Maybe they'll soften in time? If they don't, I'll give them up. (I did buy a set of organic cotton sateen-not so pricey as my old ones -and they felt like sleeping on plastic sand. They went right back.) These are not like that. But so far they're not soft either.
