I found this stool to be excellent, at a much lower price than comparable stools. It is sturdy and stable. The seat is comfortable and well padded. This does what I need it to do, and I am okay with sitting on the edge of the seat. But there is a distinct lump in the middle of the seat, possibly because of how it is connected to the base. This makes it less comfortable than very similar stool that I had to replace. Quite easy to assemble. Sturdily constructed. The highest setting is nearly a tiptoe touch for me at 6’2”, so likely would accommodate someone 3 or 4 inches taller or more. I like the comfort of this chair, however, if I had to do it over, I would have bought one that was just a bit shorter. My husband is 5'8" and he said it is just a bit too high to comfortably sit in.

It is of the right height for my dining room counter where I do some work. However, the cushion is nonexistent at least for someone of my weight. It started to hurt if I sit on it too long.
