It came with a double sided tape thing but the plastic thing doesn’t really stick. I think it would be better if it came with a hook attached to the double sided tape to hook the string on to. Easy to put up and ultimate space saver if your husband (or kids) are baseball, football, or any kind of cap collectors. This has saved my couches and countertops from being cluttered with hats, and my husband asking me at least twice a day if I’ve seen a certain one. I really like this cap rope. It keeps all my hats in the closet yet easily reachable. The rope that all the hats hang from seems to be a really good quality (thick & lightweight). The hats are attached via a clip that can hold up to 2 hats (you can actually fit at least one or two more in if you really try). The clip lightly clips onto the rope. I think this came with something like 4 clips so you should be able to easily hold around 8 hats or more. The only catch was that I like to just pull my hats out of the clip (grab-n-go), but the clip always falls off the rope when that happens. It's a little annoying so I end up throwing the remaining hat & clip into the bottom of the closet until I have more time to rehang it. It's not terrible, but would be nice if the clips had some way to lock in the back so they didn't come off the rope when you remove the hat. Overall, it looks nice and it's a great way to keep your hats out of the way.

I'm not sure why I assumed that there would be a clip for each hat. Somehow I trusted the marketed number of hats that this unit holds. And it is a true statement that it holds that number of hats. However what I did not understand was that each clip holds three hats. So there is only six clips in the unit at first I thought the unit was defective and was not shipped with the proper number of clips and then after reading the instructions realizing that you had to stack the hats on top of each other and inside of each other in order for all 18 hats to fit. I would have preferred if I could see the front branding on all 18 hats. In my opinion this is really no different than just stacking your hats on top of each other in a closet and you have to sort through them anyway to find out which one you want as opposed to just seeing it and going for it. So it is a little disappointing however the unit definitely does serve the purpose of freeing up space and organizing them conveniently on a hook that hangs over the door. Lesson learned had there been a separate hook for each hat I would have given five stars.

Keeping 5 stars because bruised scores really hurt decent businesses, but just a warning - the pinching mechanism on this thing is impossible if you have soft, squishy hands, as I do. Video showing what I mean. If you're a bass player you should be fine 😅 but I have to bypass the pinch mechanism and white-knuckle this thing to move it up or down on the rope. At one point I even tried pliers, but I ended up just damaging the plastic. Decent product, but I wouldn't have bought it had I known how hard this would be!

Had for just over a month (of course right outside the return window) - have tried a few different solutions and this seemed the best space-wise since I could have my hats stored in my closet and easily accessible. It seems simple to install but the rope that you have to clamp the holders on is a pain. Once the clips are on adjusting them is almost impossible without ripping the rope fibers (frustrating when the rope keeps twisting and you can’t line them up the way you want). After about 1 1/2 months the clips started to feel loose with 3 hats in them (advertised max capacity per clip), and they were wearing down on the inside where the center of the hat is held. This started scratching right in front of the little ball thing that sits on top of your head, so 6 of my hats are now fraying right where the clip held them in. It did little to organize the way I wanted, and ended up damaging my most used (and most expensive) hats. Definitely do NOT recommend if you want your hats to last.

This rack system is amazing! I wish I would have seen this earlier in life, would have saved me some shelf space in my closet. After a few months of my dad's obsession with collecting baseball caps, he started to get a bit frustrated because he didn't have anywhere to put them, and the caps were slowly losing their dome-like shape. After some Amazon browsing, I found this product. I had no idea what it was, but the pictures convinced me. I bought one just to try it out and hmmm... it's really good. It's a rope-like thing with plastic clamps that you can easily move up and down according to how much space you want in between each set of caps. Each clamp holds up to three caps - two on the bottom-half clip, and one on the upper-half clip - and it brings about 6 clamps per product, which equals to 18 caps per product. If my dad decides to keep collecting caps, I'll for sure buy this unique cap-holder again.
