Tribe 11.5 is the perfect boat for a larger paddler! I'm 5'11 and large in the seat. This boat is so comfortable!!! I can fully stretch out in the boat and not have my legs get cramped up. The seat is framed and very comfortable on the back. It's wide enough for me not to feel cramped. It moves really nice in the water - really nice. This is my first kayak and I'm thrilled at how stable it feels and how easy it is to move through the water. I haven't had it on rough water yet - but so far I'm very pleased. ... show more

Great boat! Tracks well, stable, and super comfortable. Very, very had to find this specific boat. Amazon made a mess of the delivery; missed delivery dates, said it was delivered weeks before it actually was, and essential lost the boat in transit. That said, it did arrive in perfect condition. Tracks straight! Feels fast with minimum effort! It responds quickly to paddle strokes. I'm a short guy, 5' 8" and 173 lbs, so 52 lbs was a concern; however, the two handles in the middle make all the difference. With the handles, I can load and unload of a top SUV, and carry it just fine. Pricy, but I worth it. I received it with some some scratches in a couple of zones, but no biggy; It floats! ... show more

Kayak was delivered with significant scratches and scuffing down most of the right side. There is also a large scuff on the left front. The damage is into the plastic but does not compromise “sea worthiness”. I don’t know if the where during the delivery process the damage occurred but it’s terribly disappointing to spend $800 on a kayak and receive it with damages. To quote an observer "it doesn't look like new kayak". Should have known better than to order something that doesn't fit in a box from Amazon. ... show more

I love this kayak so much. It has great stability and is relatively comfortable. I kayak in waters that can easily change from calm to rough, and have no issues worrying about tipping. Just a heads up, it is heavy and unless you are strong (I'm not), you will have to have somebody help you get it in and out of your vehicle.
