Some of the folders in my box had blue clear plastic --looked like the beginning of a roll of tape- at the bottom where the fold is. Folder is of good sturdy quality. Was exactly what I needed and even came with the tabs and instructions on how you can use your computer to print out what you want on the tabs. I got the blue ones and love the color as well.
