  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price
Color: Black
This makes it easy to do a well rounded upper body workout to supplement the lower body stuff I do with free weights. The low price is what it should be. Because this is a simple product that should not be overpriced. The fact that it allows rows to supplement push ups is essential to avoid muscle imbalances. The pull up functionality is the best thing because I love doing pullups and this makes it easy at a low price. The only improvement I can suggest would be to enable to push ups to be done at different hand widths to get different muscle groups. But this is great for the low price. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Well designed and easy assembly
This is the second Pelpo product that I've gotten. The first was their foldable weight bench. I'll admit that when I got the package, the cardboard was torn on one end. This is a heavy unit, and it's shipped in a fairly heavy cardboard box. But there were no parts missing. All of the screws are in an individual box inside the main box. They even include two allen wrenches, and two open end wrenches to tighten the nuts and bolts. You don't need any tools other than what they provide. Each part is wrapped in a plastic sleeve to protect the paint and make sure that things don't get scratched. Each part is identified in the parts list in the front of the instruction manual, but they are all unique, so you're not going to get any of them confused. The assembly isn't difficult. It took me 1 hour and 6 minutes from start to finish, and my wife helped me. Without her assistance, I probably could have gotten it done in 50 minutes. But it was a joint project. When I first opened the instruction manual I was a little set back. There were no actual instructions, just a number of partial assembly drawings showing the stages in assembly. But once I started doing it, I realized how easy the assembly was. The hardest part was figuring out which screws to use. But it was easy to identify the right screws if you just measure the length. Most of them have the same threading, so there's no confusing which screws to use where. They are numbered in the drawings, and the numbers are clearly identified in the manual. But you'll need glasses. The printing is pretty small. They clearly say to not tighten any of the screws till you are completely done. That's good advice. Everything fit together well. There were no issues, no mismatched holes, no cross threaded bolts or nuts. Each piece I received was in prime condition. If you tighten the screws as you go, there's no leeway to move the parts slightly to get them aligned. But once you get it together, it's easy to just take the wrenches that they provide to tighten everything. There are a lot of adjustments on the unit to tailor it to your size. The chinup bar can be raised. The backrest for the leg lifts is adjustable. The pads are comfortable enough that you can rest your weight on them for the lifts comfortably. There are raised handholds on the bottom for pushups. There are handholds for dips, and positions for an abs series for leg lifts, with the high horizontal bar for pull-ups. All in all, a well designed, easy to assemble and high quality unit for anyone to use in a workout setting. This is a top quality unit. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Excited about the Tower! Sturdy.
Color: Black
Alright here we go!! I received my tower early yesterday morning and started setting it up. It took me approximately 2 hours to fully assemble the tower on my own. You receive an instruction manual, 3 spanners, 2 allen wrenches (or hex keys) and all the screws, nuts and bolts required to put your equipment together, so you don't have to worry about getting tools to do so if you don't have the tools. Which is a definite plus! The parts weren't numbered but if you look at the instruction booklet, you'll be good to go. Though you could get tripped up with a few screws, but you'll be back on track in no time. It is tall so it's suitable for folks that are tall and the pull up bar can be adjusted to a comfortable height, as can the back rest which has a few positions so you can place it where it's most comfortable for you. I am 5' 9" and had to step unto the push up bars to properly and comfortably position myself in order to do a few leg raised crunches. My young man came over and he did a few pull-ups, pushups, leg raised crunches and such.. since he weighs more than I do it was a good test to see how sturdy and stable the tower is. It is both... however I do have my concerns at times about the possibility of tipping it. It does NOT come with wall anchors. It is pretty cool that you can do a number of exercises on it as well - back, arms, shoulders, abs, obliques... I am looking forward to fully utilizing the Atlas over the next few months. I have a pair of tension bands which I can swap out with the pull up when I feel like it to work my obliques and back and even my chest differently from doing pull ups. Thanks Pelpo!! ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars A great workout for my upper body.
Color: Black
Assembly wasn’t difficult but the tools that came with it weren’t strong enough to tighten all of the bolts. Using my own tools I tightened it up so it didn’t wobble. After several months of daily I have built up more of my arms, chest, and abs. It seemed like slow progression, but I continually get better and do more. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the money
Color: Black
Easy to assemble it only took me about an hour but use other tools not the ones that come with the tower their junk and may strip the bolts heads. The tower is very sturdy when doing dips and ab workouts but when doing pull ups or chin ups the red parts are a little wobbly it may be because of the design for height adjustment by hand. May try to use bolts instead of the hand adjusters to tighten up. All in all it's a good buy . ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, well packed, nice design
Color: Black
After lots of research, I chose this tower to help complete my "home fitness center" LOL. It had to fit between the Murphy bed and the closet, it fit perfectly. The tower was easy to put together but did take some time and patience. Some recommendations, unpack everything and lay it out including all the bolts. Make sure you have all the parts before you start (I had all the parts) become familiar with the different size bolts so you know you are using the correct bolts. Assemble the unit hand tight only (not tool tight). When fully assembled tighten everything. I'm surprised how sturdy it is. Very little wobble. The spacing between the arm pads is perfect for me. Im able to keep good form on leg lifts and lsit. Very good tower Very happy it's in my "fitness center". ... show more
