Got myself an iPhone 13 , didn't use it until I put the new pelican Kevlar case on it . Good thing I did ,When we get older we tend to drop things called The Dreaded Dropsies . Our kitchen countertop is acrylic and anything made from glass that falls on it shatters into a million pieces . Our charging station for cell phones and tablet, you guessed it is on the counter top. New Cell phone was maybe 3 days old when I dropped it on the counter top with its Kevlar jacket on . It landed right on its face , I was hesitant to pick it up but when I did I was surprised Nothing happened to the new cell phone . Pelican Kevlar case is a Life save for cell phones . This case far exceeds a life proof case and in just the 2 months I’ve had it installed I’ve dropped it and had it fall out of my pocket. Definitely takes a beating. The ONLY negative to this case is how incredibly difficult it is to press the right side lock/unlock button and the left side ringer on/off switch. Perhaps it’s the sausages attached to my hand that I call fingers being too big but I’ve always had to flip those ports open to even attempt to get to those items. I’m sure it would cost more to provide easier access or some sort of button device like the volume up/down buttons have but perhaps pelican will update this in future designs. Overall I’m very satisfied with the protection offered. Nice carbon fiber look to the back with 3 faux fasteners, stamped MIL-STD-810G, and has been extremely durable. ... show more

For 10 years I had used a major brand competitor with a belt clip. The old case was not compatible with MagSafe charging. Though this Pelican does not have the MagSafe magnets, it does work with MagSafe charging. It is just as durable as my old case. My only gripe is that the belt clip is not as strong and it is not as rigid. When cycling or hiking I like to clip the phone to the shoulder strap. This case will clip onto the webbing but with little force, it can clip off. ... show more

Really liked this case from the start and was hoping I finally had an alternative to my Otterbox . But after only 2 weeks, the belt clip snapped off. It didn’t get caught on anything. I just opened the clip to take it off my belt and it snapped off. So frustrating - seems there’s no way to replace just the belt clip. After 2 weeks, I shouldn’t have to do that anyway. Was super excited to find Pelican phone cases as my father has used their equipment cases for years in his audio/visual small business. Therefore I had high expectations for their phone case. Was disappointed to notice after putting it on that there is a small crack in the plastic to the lower left of the camera window. Still a nice feeling case that will protect my phone with my clumsy hands. You can see that it has a good, thick boarder to protect from all angles but isn’t as thick/clunky as other reputable brands such as the otter box. Slips into my pocket easily and I like the clear backing to it to show off the phone color. Case feels good at n my hands, I’ve used same case since iPhone 8 came out and eventually a Xr . All cases were sturdy and I did use the lifetime warranty to get a replacement for damaged port covers on the Xr. So getting a 13 recently, I went right back to the same case. I do prefer the X case that was grey edged but this is a great case and I will continue to use Pelican cases as long as I have a need for one. ... show more
