    • Failed as a dog collar airtag holder, but works great on my keys or on my 24 hour bag.

First off, my dog is large. She also shakes a lot and digs often so she gets dirt in her ears, and scratches them. Because of this, this airtag holder got a little more then it was expecting when it came to abuse. At some point, she managed to hit it hard enough it started to separate and then came apart when she shook. I've since put it in my backpack and gotten her something different, and it works fine there. Its perfectly waterproof if you're not abusing it. It takes more abuse then most, its just not pit bull proof. Kept it, happy with it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I truly prefer the "one side exposed" style of AirTag holder as the steel battery cover can be pushed and twisted on some of holders I've tried. This and the Spigen key fobs cover the steel side completely. Pelican is a brand renown for their tough, water proof equipment cases of all sizes (used many of them for line maintenance work in Coast Guard Aviation), but this fob is like those only in appearance. It's not particularly ruggedized, I would not subject it to abuse. But it has that Pelican case "look." This is a softer silicone holder, and the AirTag can be put in and removed easily, if that's what you're looking for (e.g. you have one AirTag for "Keys" but multiple sets you switch out). You could easily transfer the AirTag from one of these on each of two sets of keys. The silicone is soft and will likely protect the AirTag from most bumps and drops. See video for a demonstration. The included carabiner is simply okay as a ring/holder, but I prefer stronger split rings and screw/fastener type loops for security. Pictured on my car keys is a titanium "live spring" ring from a third party: light and very strong. I honestly think companies like Pelican include a cheaply made attachment carabiner so people don't complain "doesn't come with a ring, waah." I'm partial to Spigen's harder rubber version because it's smaller, slimmer, and a much tighter fit on the AirTag. See my video for more. But if that's unavailable, this will do in a pinch. I have one of each (one on my jogging key ring, the other on my car keys (pictured) and I'm pleased with both. ... show more

Our senior mutt has been loosing his hearing for a while. It is now so bad he doesn’t hear his name when called. After finding him in the lot across the street, we realized we needed to be able to tack him more easily, so we purchased this case to attach to his dog collar. This case is not good for use in a moving or rough environment. I bought it for my dogs collar to test its quality. First, it appears to screw together, but it has false screws; it snaps together. It has separated several times and the Airtag fell out. The carabiner broke and the tag fell off. It is not water resistant. My dogs activity level is light, he takes walks, so it is not being abused. I would not recommend the product for anything but a static environment; don't put it anything that moves. We put an airtag in this and attached it to our pups harness for when we go on walks/to the park. It gives me peace of mind that I can track her wherever she goes just in case she gets loose. It's held up fine since we've had it and I'd be open to ordering more for the rest of the airtags. If you want to hide an airtag/make it less obvious, this probably isn't the way to go since one side is wide open and you can see the airtag -- just a heads up. ... show more
