Made to be lighter and still strong, it includes a extra features. There's a multi-position luggage tag holder and the ability to use molle lid organizer. Mine was purchased stripped (no foam or organizing features); I added some packing cubes and Viola! The case is within standard dimensions for carry-ons. As a test, I tried to put it into another soft carry-on luggage marketed as specifically for airline carry-on and it fit! The wheels feel solid and the handles are sturdy and grippy. It's priced higher than many, but I think it's durability more than justifies.

There are periods of time when I travel every week and I need reliable luggage that won't let me down. I replaced a failing old carryon bag with this and I couldn't be happier. The quality of the plastic is supreme. You can tell by the look and feel of it that Pelican doesn't skimp on their materials. The suitcase overall has a simple, but very durable design. I opted for the empty case and bought a mesh divider peice from Amazon to complete it. I love the mechanics of the suitcase especially. The wheels have quality ball bearings and glide effortlessly. The handle is rugged and reinforced and is held by a very basic but relaible latch. My old bag's handle failed and cut my hand, so a durbale handle was very important for me. This case is garuanteed for life. It's expensive, but the saying is true: "Buy once, cry once," you'll be glad you did!

Great case from Pelican. Amazon had the best prices and I couldn’t be happier. I can fit all my gear and lenses in the case with room to spare. The case also doubles as a good carry-on bag too. It is durable and protective, and I will certainly be getting another one down the road.

Pelican is my go to luggage. The storage is smaller than other carry ons. Hinges and supports are external rather than intrinsic like most others and believe this is the source. Space bags very helpful.

Combining the lightweight protection of the 1535 PELICAN AIR plus the flexibility of the TREK-PACK DIVIDER SYSTEM system makes this the perfect case for my Nikon Z9 + trinity lenses, with room to spare. I previously owned and exclusively used the rock-solid Pelican 1510 + TrekPack, but IMO this lightweight successor to that classic combo has it beat. GREAT JOB, PELICAN!
