Perfect fit. You don't have to pull the axle if you do this right. You need a helper on one side with a wrench and a pair of vice grips. See, the problem is, both nuts that hold the wheels on have standard threads. You tighten the nut to mount the wheel on one side and it loosens the other side. The fix is to remove one wheel and put vice grips on the axle. Hold the axle from turning while your slave laborer loosens the other wheel. You can slide the axle in and out some to get a bit more room. These are just like the stock ones that came on the Gator. I did spray them with Gorilla Glue's version of Flex Seal. Not sure if it will help with traction or not. ... show more

These wheels are exact replacements for the originals. They fit my kid’s Peg Perego JD Gator without any issues. They were super easy to replace. I also wrapped them in mountain bike treads to improve the traction by about 500%.

I bought these a second time as a replacement for my son’s John Deere Gator Camo version. He likes to fish tail down the driveway and drive over random items in the yard so the rear tires finally gave out. The only flaw these tires have is the traction isn’t the best going up an incline. The tires spin too fast to allow them to grip the surface. I have seen other brands have a rubber insert on the tire to resolve that issue and that would nice to have with these. To install these should take less than 10 mins and you’ll need just three tools: 1/2 inch socket or wrench, flat head screw driver, and a locking vise grip. You will need to maintain the old hub cap from the tires you are taking off. You need to carefully pry it out of the old tire. The vise grip should fit under the car to hold the axel in place while loosening the nut to remove the tire. I am guessing with the way he drives that we will eventually need another set for our next child to drive this. The first replacement set was extremely durable for the tests my son puts them through and lasted about two years. ... show more
