  • nice and thick
We got this cork for adding texture to the back of our line art. The adhesive is strong and it adds interest and texture to our art. The cork is thick and seems durable it may make a nice backsplash but we we aren't using it for that. The look is nice and we are very happy with it

Peel & Stick Cork Wood Backsplash, 6-Sheets for Kitchen Backsplash I love the look of these realistic cork tiles! They add a unique, stylish look to my kitchen backsplash. They look like a real cork! The distressed rustic cork wood is a textured tile made from PVC composite laminate, and has real textures. Each tile measures: 23.6”L x 11.8"W x 0.15”H and covers a large area. They come in a box of 6 sheets, and have a thick peel and stick cork base, Each tile covers about 11.6 square feet, 40% more coverage than 10"x10" peel and sticks. Easy DYI: Just peel and stick to place, no grout, mortar or contractor. No need to overlap, no grout, no mess, save time and money on labor. Easy to remove and reposition. Strong Adhesive: Sticks firmly to smooth, clean surface. Will also stick on lightly textured wall. Can stick over existing tiles or smooth backsplash, ceramic tiles, metal, wood, glass, cement wall, etc. *Recommend putting on a clear coat to protect the surface from water, grease, oil, dirt, etc. ... show more

  • Used this in a "mixed" backsplash in my kitchen
Above the stove I already had a set of tiles - burnished copper - the tiles were small and very traditional, but they came on a sticky backing so were easy to apply. I LOVED how that area turmed out, but the wall behind my main countertop was in need of something...so I had a really pretty pack of metallic tiles - long, thin ones with a mix of color - some brushed stainless steel, some brushed copper and to make these tiles span the space, I cut them in half and applied them to the base of the wall, butted up to the countertop. I took these 6 cork sheets and again, I cut them in half to span the wall. At the top of the wall (under the overhead cabinets) I had another set of the copper tiles that I'd used behind the stove. These I had to cut into thirds to fit that top space, but the look is really pretty! I have some texture, some color variatons and it just adds visual interest to what was a boring wall. One thing I did do was use a bottle of my UV resin to coat the cork and then cured it quickly with a UV light bar. That way the cork is waterproof. I love how it looks with the other tiles on my kitchen wall! ... show more
