I’ve been buying Pedigree dog treats for a while now, and they’ve become a regular part of my dog’s routine. The moment I grab the bag, he comes running and sits patiently, waiting for his reward. They’re great for training because he’s motivated to listen when he knows one of these is coming. The treats are reasonably priced and easy to find, which makes them convenient for me. I do wish the ingredients were a little cleaner, but honestly, my dog enjoys them so much that I keep coming back. My dogs love these dental chews. They actually love all dental chews but I liked that these were in a variety pack and the price point was nice too. It helps with their breath which is a nice plus. The only thing I noticed was one of my dogs got a little gassy with the fresh mint ones but not the chicken or beef flavored… weird but now I give those to my other dog who does just fine with them. ... show more

I’ve been giving Pedigree Dentastix to my large breed dog (a 60 lb golden doodle) for a few months now, and I’m really pleased with the results so far. He absolutely loves them — it’s the one “treat” that he consistently gets excited for, even more than biscuits or jerky. I give him one a day after dinner, and it’s become part of his routine. From what I can tell, the Dentastix do a decent job of freshening his breath. It’s not minty-fresh like a human mouth, but definitely an improvement from before. I’ve also noticed that the back teeth, where he chews the most, are looking a little cleaner and have less visible plaque. I wouldn’t expect miracles, but as part of a dental care routine, this is a solid addition. The sticks are firm enough to provide a bit of chewing resistance but not so hard that he gives up or swallows it whole. They’re the right size for big dogs, and they don’t crumble or make a mess. One box lasts about a month, which is reasonable for the price. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because I’d love to see even more noticeable results on his front teeth, and I wish the breath-freshening effect lasted a bit longer. My dog can be picky about treats, so I wasn’t sure how this would go—but she absolutely loved them right away! The bones have a firm texture that takes her a while to chew through, which not only keeps her busy but also seems to help clean her teeth. After about a week of giving her one every few days, I noticed her breath smelled fresher, and her gums looked healthier. From a pet owner’s perspective, I also appreciate that many dental bones are made with natural ingredients and don’t have artificial colors or preservatives. They’re a simple addition to our routine that helps with oral hygiene—especially helpful since brushing her teeth isn’t always easy. Pros: Great taste (according to my dog’s reaction!) Helps reduce bad breath Keeps her occupied for a while Easy to give as a treat Cons: Can be a bit pricey for daily use You have to choose the right size for your dog’s weight Overall, I’d say trying dental bones for the first time was a win. Our dog loves these dog treats! He used to resist going to bed at night. Now at about 9:00 he is very anxious to go outside for his last potty. When he comes in he runs into his bedroom, sits on his bed and does a very excited tap dance with his front paws. I give him his Dentastix and leave his room.
