Even if this kit came without cymbals, the price is more than fair. The hardware is solid. The drums themselves are built right; tuned properly, they sound professional, even with the stock heads. The small bass drum is ideal for my needs (jazz combo). The cymbals are there, but they dent easily and sound tinny, which I expected. They work fine for light practice, but forget gigging them. This is a fantastic entry level set of drums for the price. Everything came packaged well in 2 large boxes. Some assembly required, but that is all part of the fun. With a set of premium heads and a set of dampers, this set is sounding like a $4,000 set. The cymbals that came with it aren’t Zildjian or Paiste, but they’re fine. I ordered a Zildjian 22” ride with a boom stand to compliment it. I will probably order a high end throne later, but the one that comes with it is just fine. Love the set, clean, well made, good sound, nice stands. chrome, paint and hardware good quality. Only thing I suggest is a couple more cymbal stands and throw the 2 Pearl cymbals out.. Get a good 4 pack of Zildjians or similar for a great sounding set. Good deal!

i use this for metal drums and within the first week the crash and the top hi hat started bending. and after 5 months they cracked and broke. I am not as big a fan of the heads due to the higher pitch they give off. I recommend using it for the kick and the frames. Other than those things they are amazing! ... show more

Went with this as it seems it's a pretty high-end beginner drum kit. Easy to assemble (watched Youtube video). The more you start playing it, the more you will start customizing it to create a richer sound. I replaced the cymbals and drum heads - so now it sounds more fun to play.

The drumset arrived a day early! Was easy to set up, and after putting some new drumheads and some Evan’s e-rings on it sounds great! The cymbals and hi hats are definitely the weakest part of the set. But they do the trick
