Pretty darn good for the price. If theres one thing on this kit that i didnt like, it would be the the heads. Its to be expected with stock heads. Other then that, its great. I can say this kit can be used at all levels of playing

    • Good set of drums!
I bought these over Yamaha's because the sound appeared to be better. The hardware is good but not as good as the Yamaha version. Still much better than other starter drum sets that I saw out there and I'm very pleased with it. The drum shells are poplar with a mahogany liner. The joints aren't as tight as they should be but they drums still sound good. They were seriously out of tune though and I'm glad that I also ordered a drum dial. Once they were all tuned they sound great. The packages all arrived in perfect condition and there was no damage to anything. Everything is made in China unfortunately.
