This is a wonderful playing flute with full sound and easy 3 octave range. There are better out there but at a $5000 to $10000 price tag. If you are on a budget then you can't beat it. Flute balance is good and key placement is confortable for my average sized hands using the crutch although going between low C# and C is a bit clumsy because of the difference in key height even with the roller. I would also like to add if the MFG is reading this that it would be nice if the head joint could be placed in the case as played instead of having to turn the head 180 degrees from where it is played in the neck position to fit it in the case.
