EDIT: After around 6 months the microphone failed completely. I contacted PDP customer service and they sent a whole new pair which seems to have no issues. My kids have used the new pair for seveal months with no issues. I'm going to upgrade this review to 4 stars for the killer customer support and since it seems I just got a bad one before. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I suspect something is defective in the headphone jack on these; perhaps it is not machined correctly. The problem is that the mic does not work when used on my Switch. The mic works on other devices, and it even works on the switch if I plug it into an extension cable and then plug that into the Switch, but it won't work if I just plug it in directly. The headphone functionality appears to work fine on all devices. This is okay for me since I use an extension cable, but it is very peculiar behavior considering it does not seem to work well with the exact device it is targeting. Note that you have to flip the mic down in order to turn it on. This is a really neat feature because it allows you to mute just by moving the mic up. Unfortunately, it's 3-star at best given the build quality. ... show more

This is a pretty basic pair of wired headphones. I got it on sale and it was pretty affordable. I would say that the cord is on the shorter end. If you're plugging this directly into the switch and playing as a handheld device it'll be fine. I haven't gotten the mic to work when playing fortnite but I'm not sure how much of that is me or the headphones itself. ... show more
