This is perfect to keep chickens in. I am currently using it to keep a pair that I wanted to breed and it's perfect to keep 1-4 small/bantam sized chickens. I am going to remove the Rooster and let Momma Hen have it since she's sitting on 12 eggs right now and will need the space when the babies hatch. You could keep a wide variety of small animals in it but be aware that the cage probably won't hold small animals, normally I would not be able to keep chicks in it because they will walk right out between the bars but I reinforced it with a lining of another fencing so it will contain my hen's babies. It's light and portable and wasn't hard to set up once we figured it out, it's sturdier than I first thought it might be too and will contain and protect most small animals. I plan to use it for a wide variety of Poultry types such as chicken, duck, quail, etc.. as a Breeding/Nesting area and so far it was a great choice and I might even end up buying another one. *If this review helped you let me know by hitting the Helpful button. We don't own a cat but our son does (and he is living with us and our two large dogs). The dogs do not like cats and since she was living basically full time in the basement, which has no natural light we bought this so she could be outside and safe while she gets fresh air and sunshine. She was skeptical at first, but it's plenty large for one cat and a bunch of toys etc. thrown in. Assembly wasn't difficult, but two people helps just to steady it. You can pick it up and move it with two people (it is long but not too heavy) just check the locks/ connections when you put it back down. Well worth the price!

This is so flimsy and hardly stands up when put together. We have it outside for our tortoise and it stared rusting the second day it was up. It's been raining all week and there are more spots rusting now, too. Contacted the company for a refund and they said I can keep it and get a partial refund or return it for a full refund...customer service has been responsive, so at least that's a plus. Giving an extra star for customer service. But I would recommend finding another enclosure if there is any humidity or moisture in the air where you live.

I’ve had this product for about a year. It was a little difficult put together for a single person. I actually just used zip ties so that it would be easier for me to take down if I needed to. With two people it would be easy to install but I liked the sturdiness of the zip ties knowing it’s not going to come apart. I’ve used it for a little dog, chickens, ducks and kittens. Although the kittens can’t be too young because they can squeeze out between the bars. It’s been easy for me to move around the backyard so the chickens aren’t in the same place all the time. We have some indoor kitties that "cant be trusted" outside, unsupervised. They just dont have "street smarts." However, they LOVE to be able to go outside. They are leash kitties, so we would always just take them for walks outside...but then they would have to come right back in. With this enclosure, we can let them stay outside for longer periods of time. We still dont leave them outside ALONE.... altho they would be safe....but they can now hang out WITH us when we garden, play outdoor games, cook out, etc. And they LOVE the cage...altho my one cat wishes there was just ONE little area to get a bit higher. I'm so happy I made this purchase and I have happy kitties too!! We also use it to allow our bearded dragon to have some outside time. This would be wonderful for puppies, chickens, kitties, bunnies, etc. It would NOT be a good enclosure for a dog though....I dont think it's sturdy enough for bigger animals with more weight to them. It's super easy to put together...but it's not as easy to move from one part of the yard to another. And altho it collapses, it doesn't collapse into ONE big piece...there are several parts to it. Overall, I would give this a 4.9 out of 5

Tired of the chickens messing all over the yard? I bought two of these, and connected them to each other and the coop. Works great! Relatively easy modify and put together. Really happy with these. I just need to secure it a bit more to the coop and under the ground. Plenty of room for two chickens, and a couple hours a day before sundown we let the, run around a bit and forage. Two shade panels (not pictured) work well for a shady patch for them.

I am using the PawHut for my two cats that like to be outside. However when putting the unit together I had to call for help. The directions were not clear at all. It was a guessing game. That was the one thing I disliked about it. And all corners were wrapped with wired for stability. It is rather heavy when trying to move it during an upcoming storm. However the cats love it.
