  • Beautiful Kite
I bought this kite a while ago and I had flown in a handful of times. Pros: -Requires moderate wind for it to fly. -It is beautiful. -Made from good quality construction materials. -Can fly it high Cons: -Pre-cut string was too long. Requires re-adjustment. One issue that with it is the pre-cut string used for the kite setup, it doesn't work well. I used it from the package and the kite did not work right. It was too long. To get the kite flying, I had to adjust it. An easy way to tell if it's attached correctly is by holding the kite on a very short leash. With a moderate wind the kite should just fly itself. It took me awhile to get it right and gave me some frustrating because I had to figure out how to fix it. But if you have flown it recently then you'll find it's a child-play issue. I haven't flown a kite in over 20 years. It did bring back good memories of when I made kites as a kid. It was fun flying this kite with my niece. Overall I am happy with it. ... show more

  • Pretty Good Kite
This kite is very pretty and looks just like the picture. Assembly was easy--not much instruction but most of the sticks are already inserted and a graphic provides a visual explanation on how to complete the assembly. I was a little worried about tearing the kite because it was a little difficult to bend the sticks into the pockets. I knocked off a star because one of the stick holder "pockets" tore halfway off when I inserted it. I was afraid that the kite was ruined but decided to give it a chance. I took the kite out on its maiden flight in about 14mph wind (a storm was approaching). The kite performed great and was easy to control. I was afraid that the kite stick would pop out from the torn pocket while the kite was in mid air, but that didn't happen. The little butterfly fluttered its wings beautifully. Not sure how long this kite will last but will update if it breaks. ... show more

  • great kite
we flew it this weekend at a kite festival. we love it. i noticed another reviewer commenting that it noses down, and not great for beginner kite flyers. well, we never had a full dive, but it does flutter back and forth a bit. not rock solid like the diamond hata. i had no trouble recovering from a swerve or two. (give it some slack). and while it did crash a couple times when my 3-year-old daughter had the controls, she thought it was great. it added a little excitement, and i was actually able to teach her a few skills. the kite's well made. crashes caused no harm. and it's beautiful up in the sky. ... show more

  • A hit at the party.
Butterfly Single Line Kite This is the best Kite ever! The fabric is excellent and the size is perfect. The print and colors are art worthy. It comes with plenty of line and the proportion of the body and the tail is perfect. Very aerodynamic. It was a hit as a birthday present for a 7 year old girl. The 9 year old boys and girls and the adults were very pleased with it as well. It handles very well for the experienced kite flyers as well as the novices. ... show more

  • Good up to 10 mph winds
Pretty good kite, it flies well in up to 10 mph winds, not 20 like the description says. 20 is way too strong for this thing, it buckles into itself and won't go very high before crashing. Strong winds also tear up the pretty streamers.

  • Colorful kite
My 3 grandchildren love the butterfly kite. It is colorful. Kept it in my trunk all summer just in case we were at park and the weather was cooperative. There is always a learning curve in flying, but they did pretty well. Seems durable.

  • Beautiful Kite
We've flown this kite twice now. It went up easily, but it does require some skill to maneuver, especially if the winds are variable. My 6 year old daughter was able to keep it in the air for 10 minutes or so at a time. I was able to keep it up there much longer. It is absolutely beautiful glowing in the sunny sky. It is well made and durable. I expect we will be enjoying this kite for many years to come. ... show more

  • Granddaughter and I had a great time with the kite
Granddaughter and I had a great time with the kite. Very stable, she us 9 and had so mych fun. We dud manage to lise the crossmember and took awhile to figure out why ut wouldnt fly. Cut a crossmember from coat hanger. Taped the ends so they would poke holes in kite and we were good to go again.
