So far so good with these boots! I was about to order the Thursday Captains when these popped up as a recommended item. The styling, color, and shape of the boots is fantastic. The exact style I was looking for. I bought these primarily for use on my motorcycle and the picture below shows the boots after one ride. The leather feels good and I can tell they’ll break in nicely. The leather is quite thin which is where I imagine most of the cost savings is. Again, this is fine for me because I prefer a boot that protects but doesn’t hot box my feet out on a ride. Overall, at the price point I’m happy with the purchase. I wear a US Men’s Size 11 in Adidas and Nike, and 12 in Puma tennis shoes. The 10.5 fit perfectly for the boots. Just enough tough wiggle room for thicker socks if I need them but not so much room that they feel clunky. ... show more

I have had these boots for a year now. Let me start off with, these boots are incredibly comfortable! The materials need almost no break-in time. With that being said, it means the materials are pretty flimsy. The soles of the boots are foam and wear out very quickly. The "leather" is very thin and seems to be wearing out fast. I wear these boots almost everyday because the more "flimsy" material makes the boot really mold to your feet, making them very comfortable right off the bat. They can be styled in many ways, either dressed up for formal events or dressed down for a more everyday outfit. The downside is the longevity of the boots. They will need to be replaced within a year or so if worn a lot. ... show more

These are great boots! I have bought 3 of the 4 colors and I haven't had any problems with any of them. Fit true to size.

    • Terrible quality control – Received a used pair as a replacement
It’s a shame because the boots are beautiful, but the experience has been a disaster. • First pair: Arrived with mismatched colors on the tips. They were well-packaged (with stuffing and dust bags), but I had to exchange them due to the defect. • Second pair (The replacement): These were clearly used. The leather is scratched, the box is completely torn, and all the protective packaging (paper and dust bags) was missing. The lack of care at the factory or warehouse is unacceptable. While I like the design, I cannot justify keeping a product in such poor condition. Returning them for a full refund this time. ... show more

This boot is a direct copy of Thursday's Boot Company Captain's boot. Much better value. I can't tell the difference between the two, fits well, and appreciate the weathered look.

They're cemented, not a Good Year welt. So, they'll separate easily from the sole. Leather is very stiff and uncomfortable for the first few wears. Another minus is that it wears like a shoe more than a boot. I almost threw them away, but decided to give them to someone. I purchased Thursday Boots for a little more money.
