The first time I used these, they were my parent's pens, and it was the most hideous stainless steel / Dijon mustard yellow that was popular back in the 70's, but it wrote like a dream. I wanted some professional pens that write well, rather than the plastic ones I normally carry around. These don't disappoint. They have the same mechanical actuator feel from that 70's model, and they write beautifully. I have collected countless Parker pens over the years and love these newer metallic-like looking barrels with different colors that Parker has come out with. I ordered the "Red Kensington Ballpoint Pen & Royal Blue Gel Pen" set to offer as a present, but it didn't come in the nice box shown in the product description. Instead, it came in a plastic blister. The pens are still nice and write well, but the set is not giftable as-is.
