This machine is a wonder and a delight to operate! In a flash, stunningly large quantities of water are removed, leaving clothes nearly dry. (I was entertained for hours when the spinner first arrived - I am still amazed by what this machine does.) Here, in our low humidity environment, remaining water in clothes evaporates while hanging on a drying rack after just tens of minutes. Unbelievably, using this spinner together with line drying is faster or as fast as running a load through a regular (gas) dryer cycle. Machine is fairly quiet and gentle on laundry. For larger load sizes, the load will need to be divided into parts, but each spin is fast. Requires more effort than just transferring clothes from washer to dryer, but seems way more energy efficient and will surely lower wear and tear, especially for delicate items. This is a huge unexpected plus for me. Love it! My only complaint is the top, which is plastic. I’d be willing to pay more for a more solid glass top opening. I’d also like to be able to open up the machine somehow to let it dry out when not in use. I use a sock to keep the top slightly open between uses.

I feel like I am somewhat of an expert on Spin dryers, as I've had 4 of them. I use them in my business several times a day. 3 were from the Laundry Alternative. The earliest model broke down after about a year, the second model was pretty good and broke down after about 3 years when the bottom was literally rotting out from rust (I was OK with this as I felt I got plenty of use out of it). The third one was their latest, and it was a disaster, the quality was horrible and it didn't last a week. So, as I was desperate, and about ready to lose my mind for lack of a spin dryer which my work flow depends on, I ordered this one. HEAVEN. This is seriously the best spin dryer I have ever used. It is so well made and durable. You have to WORK to make it out of balance. I just throw the fiber I'm drying in there and only about 1 out of 10 times is it out of balance, compared to the LA one (which I was happy with at the time). It does not vibrate excessively and is quiet for a spin dryer. And, the best thing is - it has a brake. So, when you turn it off, the spinning stops immediately. Someone pointed it out that maybe this will reduce the lifespan of the dryer. I'm impatient and used to stick my hand in the other one to get it to stop (carefully, with a towel on my fingers, so I didn't rip my hand off), so if this reduces the lifespan of this dryer, so be it, better than losing a hand. My only criticism would be that it seems like the outside finish is rusting a little from water droplets. If I cared, I could be more careful about letting the items drip dry or wipe the outside down after a spin. That might be something you should watch for if you get this dryer. I have only had it for about a month now, but I've probably spun at least 30-40 loads in it. If you are in the market for a spin dryer, spend the extra money and get this one. It's WELL worth it. EDITED OCT 31 2019 - I have to finally retire my spin dryer, but I'm insanely happy with the product. It finally rusted through the bottom, although it still works, I'm a little worried about water getting in the electronics. I used this thing probably 5-10 times a day 5 days a week. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Ordering another one.

I never take the time to write a review, even when the product work as it should. This Spin Dryer is AWESOME!!!! I've had it for about a week. We do a lot of laundry (about 2-3 large loads a day); so, I've done about 15 large loads so far. I bought it for the kids and their swim suits with the added excuse that I could use it to shorten the dryer time with regular laundry. It works great for the swim suits. It eliminates piles of wet suits all over the deck. In fact I yesterday I over heard my son exclaiming "this thing is awesome" bc it got his swim clothes so "dry". HOWEVER, it works even better on the regular Laundry. I waited at least a week to see if it would develop problems or reduce in performance, it has not. On a large load (and I have an extra capacity large machine) I typically have to do three separate spin dry loads. On a small, its one spin dry load. On a large load I get from 7 - 9 cups of water out of the spin dryer (keep in mind, it already went through the spin cycle in the washing machine (that's 56oz - 72 oz of water)) the range is sometimes I over load the washing machine and/or difference cloth type)). On my regulate heat dryer. On a large load, it normal takes 70 minutes, with the spin dryer, now the dryer takes a little over 30 minutes. Here is an example of a large load (the one I just did). 10 extra large towels (8 very thick and relatively new, 2 beach); 5 kitchen towels, 3 boy swim suits, couple pair of sock). Oh, another awesome thing I just thought of. I know longer have to separate clothes by thickness/absorbance (if you have thick towel with regular clothes the clothes dry out fast than the towel) with the spin dry, it doesn't matter, they dry the same time. It also looks good, feels well made.
