The Panasonic Body, Hair and Beard Trimmer for Men ER-GB80-S is an all-in-one trimmer designed to efficiently cut your beard and body hair with ease and comfort. Three comb attachments work with the adjustable trim length dial to provide you with 39 precision length settings to use the ER-GB80-S as a men’s body groomer, beard and mustache trimmer, hair clipper or long beard trimmer. The mens hair trimmer uses ultra-sharp blades honed to an acute angle to cut through even thick, dense hair with ease. And, blades are made from hypoallergenic stainless-steel, to minimize irritation, even on sensitive skin. A slide-up precision trimmer allows you to quickly detail sideburns and mustache, shape and edge your beard or quickly cut away stray hairs. The Panasonic Mens Beard Trimmer can be used cordlessly for up to 50 minutes before recharging or plug in and used corded when you want. A washable design lets you easily rinse your ER-GB80-S under running water. Like all Panasonic beard trimmers, the blade should be replaced about once every 3 years or when dulled for the best beard trimmer performance. Replacement accessories include the Panasonic WER9605P trimmer blade (sold separately).

    • '19 Adjustable Settings'—but most of them useless

Beware: The '19 Adjustable Settings' are just from 1mm to 10mm in increments of a ½mm—10mm is the maximum length! So if you really care about the difference between, say, 8½mm and 9mm, this is for you. But if you're like most of us and don't care about that kind of precision, but might want to trim parts of your beard to 15 or 20mm like most other trimmers, you'll be as disappointed as I am. It's a shame, too, because unlike other trimmers I've used, this one is lightweight and powerful, and hopefully the battery won't die after a few months' use, like the ones that that cost a third as much as this. I thought I'd finally found a trimmer that would do what I need, be good to travel with, and last. But none of that is helpful if the maximum length is 10mm! I even contacted the Panasonic Support, to make sure they didn't have any larger guards available, amongst the accessories they promise in the pamphlet in the box. Nope—it took them a week to get back to me and say 'try doing a websearch'. 🙄 Just as useless as that 4½mm setting, I'm afraid. ... show more

I've had all the cheaper trimmers out there, they work ok, and perform well around $40-50. So why would you spend 3 time the amount on this trimmer? 1. The battery life is amazing, being a Li ion setup it can last a whole week before charging, which makes it perfect for travel. This is the only Li Ion panasonic beard trimmer out right now, the others are older tech that is cheaper. Step up to something better! 2. The motor is the most powerful i've ever owned, it sounds different, very very fast, very very smooth. My other trimmer sometimes felt like it was tugging at my long beard hair, this thing sounds like a formula one engine turning on, very satisfying sound and performance. 3. Insane fine adjustment! This thing can adjust itself in very fine adjustments, way more so then my previous trimmers. 4. Sturdy and well built, it doesn't feel like a toy. This feels like the Rolex of trimmers, a little bigger, a little heavier, finely machined and assembled. 5. Waterproof?! This thing can handle an adventure in the shower, or a quick wash down to get it clean again! The other ones in this series do not provide that. So who should buy this? Someone who wants to pamper themself on something better. We all trim our beards or body hair often, make it a peaceful experience! I highly recommend this trimmer! ... show more

Awful shaver!! If you like every single beard hair pulled out by an electronic hair pulling machine then this is the shaver for you. Brand new out of the box, charged overnight. Finally it was time to shave!!! I had to stop half way through because it was more pain then I wanted to deal with. Buy the cheaper competitor for pain free shave and save half the cost. ... show more

Was looking to replace my Panasonic ER-GB40 with this product (ER-GB80-S), but this product is woefully inferior to the ER-GB40 which is only $39.99 at Target and $20 cheaper. Without its guard, the GB40 trims closer, scratches less, and cuts better (pulls significantly less hairs).

Panasonic's Precision + Power Beard Trimmer allows for that perpetual 5 o'clock shadow any time of the day. He was tired of shaving every day and his face was tender from the constant scraping of the blades. My spouse decided he wanted to look like the 'Trivago" guy...(Is what I really think) It only takes a few moments each morning to achieve his neatly groomed look and hes good to go. The only con: The trimmer spits out the trimmed hair in a 1/2 mile wide radius every time he uses it. There is hair ON THE WALLS OF HIS BATHROOM. ... show more

I can’t speak to those who are going from one expensive trimmer to another, but if you’re like me that always cheaped out on trimmers then you’ll be very satisfied with this one. This is the fifth and hopefully last trimmer I’ll buy. The prior four were all the cheap kind you’d find at Marshall’s or TJMAX. The last two I purchased were a Remington rechargeable that barely lasted 20 minutes and then I got the Gillette Styler. You’d have to go over and over and I have very coarse hair. With the four combined I spent more than I did with the Panasonic. I’ve used it three times out of the box to trim my beard and haven’t charged it once as it came partially charged. What I also like about it is unlike the other ones I had, my hair doesn’t go all over the place. I haven’t used it to cut my own hair as I always have and have a Wahl trimmer, but it’s always a project so I am hoping this replaces that as well. Oh, and it has a built in sideburns or neckline trimmer too that also works great. Spend the extra money as it will pay for itself over time. ... show more
