I've broken down many skids over my lifetime using either pry bars or reciprocating saws. It took much time and effort and hoped for something better. Well this removal tool certainly made things easier and faster. Tried on various 48X40" pallets that are commonly used here in the US. It does it with ease. Decided to try it with larger skids that use larger boards with "Square Twist Nails" that are more difficult to remove. Once again this tool did it with relative ease.     • So far so good, makes short work of pallets
I had some extra pallets sitting around that I had been planning to use for a project. I was planning to just pull them all apart by hand with a hammer, but then I saw this. Extra leverage = extra easy to pry apart. This is kind of large for a single-purpose tool, but it also works great. I'm not sure how often I'll use it, so I don't know how durable it is, but it seems heavy enough to take apart a ton of pallets, so I can't really give this less than five stars. The overall finish and build quality of this tool is fantastic. The welds all look perfect as well as the coating and the overall weight makes the tool feel solid and made of thick metal. It looks just like the listing pictured and the description matches as well. I got this since I usually end up with pallets on a regular basis and figured I would see if I can start taking them apart instead of just cutting them into little pieces. I ordered this tool because I often have a pallet or two lying around that I need to break down, but I always put off the chore because it's a pain in the butt. This lever tool makes the job quick and easy. The little articulating feet at the bottom do a terrific job of fully supporting each piece and you pry back on the handle, resulting in fewer damaged boards. The tool is fairly self-explanatory in its function. For anyone with many pallets to break down, this will make your life much easier. It's also fairly lightweight, making it easy to handle. As part of my barn repair project, I need to bust up some pallets for the wood. This buster is well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are excellent. This is a seriously heavy duty tool. The handle is long enough to give good leverage, but not so long that it's awkward to use. This tool is tough and should give years of service.     • Money saver.
A lot of the things that get delivered here come on pallets. Usually I just cut them up and use them in a fire pit. Not any more. With this tool , if I'm careful, I can salvage many of the pieces of lumber and repurpose them for other things. I call that a money saver. That's a lot of 1" x 4" pieces of wood I don't have to buy. Good welds and heavy metal sections. It has a good robust gusset between the long handle and the cross member. I will be very surprised if this every fails.
