This Oversized Cal King all cotton quilt is absolutely as advertised and I love it! It is very soft, and I have been looking for one like this forever! It comes well packaged, and is shrink wrapped so careful opening is required to not cut the fabric. Once out of the bag it starts springing to life. It had a few fold creases so I washed it and the two shams and dried it on medium and it came out of the dryer fluffy and unwrinkled, a breeze to wash and dry which is awesome as I got the bright white. And it is bright white, no yellow to it at all. The pillow shams are 36 inches long and fit my Cal King bed perfectly as you can see in my pictures. They have a very nice deep envelope type backing and easily fits my King size pillows. My mattress is a normal Cal King size and my bedframe is tall and because of my footboard I have to tuck in the quilt in all around. If I left the sides out they would cover the wood side boards by an inch just to show you it is a generous size quilt. The stitching is in a horizontal stripe pattern and very well done. I love how when the bed is made it is very smooth but there is puffy little texture to the quilting that you can see. I could not be happier with this quilt, it rally brightens up my room!

I like it! Cali King is a great size for a king bed and theres is plenty of hang down on the sides. Quilt seems well made, light weight, should soften after a few washes and 100% cotton, so is breathable and great for hot summers, just a pity it is made in China! The white is not a true white but I still like it on the bed. The only issue is the pillow cases are cheaply made. The pillow case back is extremely thin with the flap in the centre and if you push in kingsize pillows they are bound to rip, so I ended up not using them. Wash and dry on cool or it will shrink!

This quilt is THE quilt I’ve been searching for. If you want a quilt that feels like the quilt that was on the back of your MawMaws sofa, this is THE quilt. It feels aged but looks amazing. It’s soft. It fluffs so nicely and gets fluffier with each wash. I’ve washed it three times and it has maintained its shape perfectly. Easy to care for. It’s heavy but lightweight. I just got it, but will use it year round on the sofa as a throw. It’s currently 80 degrees outdoors and it’s suitable for summer. I use it while watching tv with the ceiling fan on. I have three dogs that use it with me and puppy fur shakes right off of it. I bought it in the stripe so it’s the same pattern on both sides in the color wheat and it’s a beautiful, soft beige color. No yellow overtones. Twin size comes with one sham that I also use on the sofa as a throw pillow. I’m going to purchase a few more just to have them. I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s perfect.

This looked like it would check all the boxes for me: oversized on a king, all cotton, perfect weight for all seasons, color to complement my headboard, classic pattern with stitching. And it did, at first. It came with a multi-part instruction manual. I cannot possibly emphasize exactly how much this bothered me. It's a freaking cotton quilt I will be sleeping under, so why do I need to open it in a well-ventilated area?! That said, it did have a slight off-putting smell, and I couldn't narrow down if it was dye, the fiber fill, the plastic vacuum sealed bag, or the rest of the packaging. The color faded by probably 30% on the first wash. Which, of course, came right after I laid "the quilt out on the prepared surface," because if I'm told natural fibers need ventilation, I'm sure as heck not putting it on the bed straight away. I wasn't too heartbroken about the fading, mostly because it's still very pretty and doesn't look faded like worn faded, and I can always stick it in some Rit dye at a later date if I want to. The bigger issue were the small holes that appeared in the cover fabric after that first wash. There were about 4 small tears or holes, between head of a pin size and pencil eraser size, across the entire quilt. I didn't do anything to them - I should put some fray check on them - but they haven't gotten any bigger, even in subsequent washings. I have a dog who sleeps on the bed, on top of the covers. Having a bedspread that's durable enough to be washed every week is important to me. For the price and performance so far, 3 stars seems low but, given the issues I had with it from the very beginning, I'd say it's warranted. I'm impressed that it hasn't continued to get worse, stiff, threadbare, or fade unevenly. At this price point, I'd definitely buy one of these again. I would recommend it to other people as well, so long as they understand the issues it has.
