Spacious compartments with internal pockets make it easy to stay organized, all while knowing your gear is secure and protected with five anti-theft features built in. The bag's fabric is embedded with eXomesh Slashguard, a lightweight flexible, stainless steel wire mesh that protects your gear from a quick slash-and-run theft, while ToughZip technology, puncture resistant double layer zippers, helps prevent pack break- ins. The Roobar Locking System secures the interlocking zippers from both compartments in one place, and also a lockdown point for the 3mm stainless steel locking cable that can be wrapped around a secure fixture, essentially turning your pack into a portable safe. The main compartment opens book style for easy access to everything bag, and built-in compression straps to pack gear tightly and maximize space. The front zippered compartment has a large Velcro that can hold up to a 15-inch laptop, and additional mesh pockets for organization. Love. I’ve been searching a loooong time for a good travel backpack and I think I’ve finally found the one! Sorry travel backpack makers but most of the ones I’ve seen are ugly and bulky. This one is sleek and clean looking without compromising on function! Pros: - opens like a suitcase. I can’t even begin to explain all the ways in which this is convenient! Let’s you see everything and fits 4 medium travel cubes. - Zippers. These are quality heavy duty zippers. The interlocking feature is awesome. - Locking bar system is great and the flap that hides all the zippers is exactly what I’ve been looking for. You don’t need a separate lock though you can add one. It comes with a cable you could use to secure your bag to something. - Tuck away waist straps. I like that they can be tucked away for when you’re using the backpack as a duffle-type bag or are just not a waist strap kind of person - Water bottle holder. Most of the travel backpacks that open like luggage don’t have, or have really tiny water bottle holders! This one is big enough, and more importantly, deep enough, to hold a 40 oz hydroflask type water bottle. - Material. Super tough and durable. - Smaller compartment has a ton of pockets inside for keeping little things. There’s at least two zippered pockets inside which I love to keep things like keys, wallet etc - Fits under the seat! - Padded straps and back! You’ll need it for this bag! Cons (though definitely not deal breakers IMO!) - I would like a back pocket access maybe to access small things like a passport, wallet, earphones etc, it’s definitely a secure bag! - No laptop pocket. The next version should have a back out side access for this. I’ve traveled with a laptop in a sleeve and placed in the front compartment but a back out side access would be useful. - It’s a little heavy-ish. I’m 5’1” and when it’s filled it’s definitely heavier than your usual bag but I think that’s to be expected. Just prepare yourself if you’re like me and are used to stuffing a regular backpack. - It’s a little pricey but in the long run I feel like it’ll be worth it. Prior to this I’ve just used cheap bags that fall apart after a few uses. Overall, I’d totally recommend and would purchase it again! ... show more

Purchased two of these backpacks for a month long Eurail trip this past summer. They were perfect for backpacking through Europe! The main cavity was more spacious than anticipated, the zippers are solid, locking devices worked well. It would be nice to see a front pocket that zips all the way down to allow for greater ease when packing or retrieving items from the front of the pack. Additionally, a small pocket with a rain cover would make this backpack even better. ... show more

This larger PacSafe back pack replaces my smaller PacSafe for longer travels. Just arrived today. Looks great and will hold a lot to supplement by wheeled carry on bag for longer international travels. It's got even more security things than my small PacSafe bag. Whew...arrived from Germany and I live in Hawaii so it's taken a long time to get here but it did arrive before estimated deadline when I purchased it. Pricey but worth it for quality. ... show more

Some of my fellow travelers had to check in their wheeled carry-ons because the plane was full. But, they did not ask me to check in my back pack. So glad because the purpose of the carry-on was to have an extra change of clothes and all of the personal items that I did not want to do without if they lost my luggage. The outer compartment is accessed from the top and has lots of pockets and such to keep you organized. The zippers can be snapped together, then you can slip them onto a bar with the other set of zippers, all of which is concealed under a flap that clips closed. Additionally, you can use a travel lock (sold separately) to keep the zippers from being taken off the bar. In the outer compartment is a cable that can be used to secure the entire pack to a piece of furniture or plumbing. Again, the locks are sold separately. The largest compartment opens like a suitcase and can hold a surprising amount. There are four adjustable straps on the outside of the pack that can be easily cinched so that your pack doesn't look any bigger than it needs to. There are also pockets you can tuck your backpack straps into if you want it to looks less like a backpack. The handles, one on the top and one on the long side are very nicely cushioned so they are comfortable to hold in the hand. ... show more
