I purchased this for an international trip and the size is definitely as described but the capacity isn't what I needed. I was hoping to be able to pack an extra set of clothes, a couple activities and snacks for my toddler on the airplane. It was definitely snug with not much room for anything else. It otherwise is great quality and light weight. I still use for days at the amusement park etc, but do not require the safety functions as much as anticipated. Anytime I travel, I consciously know I’m wearing a backpack. Anywhere I go— whether I’m walking or standing in line, I have this uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach that I need to be on the lookout for thieves and pickpockets alike. For years I wore my backpack in the front like a bozo just to avoid that paranoid feeling. When I’m using this backpack, that paranoia disappears. I know if anyone wants to get into my bag, they’ll have to full on assault me and rip it off my body. I’ve gone as far as to throw everything from my pockets into the back compartment just so I don’t have to think about pickpockets. As far as the bag itself: high quality, stylish, durable, all the rest. But the ultimate appeal, is that security and peace of mind. You can’t put a price on that. And for this reason alone I’ve recommended this exact bag to all my relatives. (In case you were curious they all love it as much as I do.) I plan on using this bag for the rest of my life. If it breaks, I will buy another. Note to the manufacturer: please keep putting the zipper locks on the top… it’s nice to know that if someone wants to break into your bag while it’s on your back they’ll have to put their arms up in the air and draw a whole bunch more attention to themselves ... show more

This backpack is replacing an older, much-loved backpack (a different brand) that I finally had to retire because the zipper gave out. I agonized over so many different packs and finally settled on this one because the dimensions were similar to the old one; smaller than other backpacks I looked at. So far I'm VERY happy with it! The zippers are amazingly smooth and robust - I suspect they will not give out nearly as quickly as my old one. I also like the front interior pocket which has spaces to store everything from pens to credit cards to books. This pocket runs all the way to the bottom of the pack which makes it feel very spacious. And the security latch for the zippers is easy to operate, although I don't usually need that much security in my little town. The larger pocket is easily large enough for a pack of manila folders or for a couple of books and it has a handy padded space for a tablet. It would also fit a thin packing cube if you wanted to use that space for leggings and t-shirt to go to the gym or for an extra jacket. I like the "hidden" back pocket that sits against my back. Right now I keep my ring of keys there and I don't feel them at all because of the thick padding. In fact, this padding is a little stiff and allows the backpack to stand up on end (usually) and not fall over. The top handle is so sturdy and smooth and the straps are very comfortable and make the pack sit tightly against my back. I'm looking forward to traveling with this backpack and putting all the security features to the test. All in all, I love this backpack!!! ... show more

Exceptional Travel backpack with highest security features built in. I can’t be happier traveling. With this backpack knowing that it’s pretty much completely pickpocket-proof as long as I I put a padlock on top of its security lock mechanism. great product and recommended.
