  • Good deal
A good deal for what you get. All parts fit well and performed properly. Really easy to install and no leaks.

  • Petcock is garbage
The petcock included is absolute garbage. It would not seal and leaked gasoline everywhere. I would not recommend this as a replacement.

  • fit perfectly in Generac GP5500
fit perfectly in Generac GP5500. Had problem with the original fuel switch. Replaced the fuel cut-off switch, fuel filter, and air filter. What was a surprise was that the kit had all 3 carb gaskets and those were replaced, as well, when I cleaned out the carb. The listing might have mentioned them, but I didn't remember seeing that. The generator is running like a champ now. ... show more

  • Yet another part of my emergency generator repair kit.
I will admit that I am obsessed with acquiring parts for my Firman 3650 watt generator. It uses a Honda clone engine (208cc, OHV). This is a reliable, efficient design (which is why almost every gasoline-powered generator these days are based on it) but when it does go wrong the parts are widely available and inexpensive to acquire. That is assuming that there is not some catastrophic disaster preventing the supply chain of these parts from getting to you. Or me, for that matter. So, I have taken to accumulating parts when days are fat - to use old vernacular. This kit is truly well thought out. It includes items that are often times overlooked by the casual user. These are some of the parts that if neglected can cause a generator (or other device run by a small engine) to fail. Inexpensive parts that can render a generator outside on the curb awaiting bulk garbage pickup. Two air filters, two fuel filters, two paper gaskets, a petcock, and a spark plug. The spark plug is of particular interest. It is simply labelled F7TC. Research says that this is possibly a Torch brand plug which is common in the small engine/Honda clone engine/generator community. The owner's manual for the Firman P03608 generator that I have says that the correct plug is a Torch F6RTC, with NGK BPR6ES and Champion RN9YC as equivalents. If I am correct and this plug follows NGK nomenclature, the 7 signifies a LOWER heat range than the 6 in the name of the OEM. Yes. Higher number means lower heat range. Strange, I know. It's only one number off so this shouldn't be an issue. In any event, this is an EMERGENCY kit for me so I would just want something to tide me over until things get back on track. Which this will most certainly do. These engines are very durable and can survive a lot of abuse so nothing to worry about. Bear in mind that your small engine may have this plug as OEM and none of what I have just said will apply to you. I cannot emphasize enough to people who have generators to keep them in good running condition. After a hurricane or tornado hits is not the time to go hunting for parts for a generator that has not been started in 5 years. Gear up today. Go out and get some service and maintenance parts today! The Verdict: Go right ahead and purchase! I highly recommend. ... show more
