I'm 6' and currently between 287-291lb. My buddy had another brand he used at his place which got me into using Gym Rings for body weight workouts. But when I went to order them, the other brand was out, with no date to be back in stock. Decided to roll the dice on these. So far I have been very happy with them. I don't put my full body weight but I either lean back or forward to do body weight exercises. Lean forward: Tri's, Fly's, Chest (push-up at an angle), Calves. Lean backward: Bi's, Shoulders, Rows, Quads Seems to hold me great. And it's beyond awesome to have a home gym already in place, ready to go. I don't have to gather a bunch of equipment, or drive to a gym, or go through elaborate routines, or get dressed in special clothes. The darn thing is just there all the time. If I walk past it, I can bust out a set of 10 or what have you reps. Then I can throw breakfast on the stove on a low heat setting, come back and bust the 2nd set out. I can lay out my work clothes for the day, go bust out my last set. Or if I'm too tired/not enough time I can bust out one or two in the morning and come back at night and finish it when I walk in the door. And they are highly portable, I could take them to the beach and hook up to a tree or something. Overall this is an awesome and inexpensive investment for those who need physical activity, and for those like me whose body weight would stop them from doing many other things. Or those who live in congested cities and loathe driving to get to desired exercise spots. Two rings up for this one ... show more

The buckles here are far easier to use than other gymnastic rings I've had in the past. I didn't think the wraps would matter, but actually they really help with comfort. I'm a fan. However the wraps don't stick so well, the only cheapo component here. I plan to buy Meister StickElite Professional Porous Athletic Tape or even Eucatape Eucalyptus Infused Rowing Tape (that's supposed to be for hands) to get a superior wrap on them. I strongly prefer wooden rings for the aesthetic appearance and these fit the bill. The straps are strong and the markings are not painted on and hence will not degrade over time. I can't imagine needing anything more for home calisthenics etc. ... show more

    • Buckle upgrade much better

Excellent gymnastic rings. The silver buckle where the strap inserts on the first pair that I purchased broke up after a couple of months of use. The manufacturer upgraded the buckle which appears to be a better quality black medal which has proven to stand up to use and not break over the past year of regular use. Be sure to inspect them for your safety before workouts and keep the wooden rings off the buckle when using the rings. Another feature I like with these rings is the numbers on the straps to measure proper length to ensure evenness of the rings for your workout. Also the buckle system allows you to quickly adjust the length of the straps between different gymnastic rings movements. Other brands require removal of the strap and then a resetting of the strap each time you desire to adjust the length. I hope this was helpful! ... show more

I initially wrote a poor review, as the rings I got came with deal breaking defects. However, the support team reached out to me within a day and asked if they could correct it. They got me new rings, this time in great condition. Defects happen, and sometimes it just has to be your turn to get that box. These are ideal beginner rings; the thickness is lovely and allows a nice firm grip, and the straps/buckles are very sturdy. Fitness companies, especially those without huge names, can be a little sketchy or problematic sometimes when it comes to damages and returns; these folks were fast, respectful and wanted to make sure I got a quality product. That alone makes up for any hassle, and I'm happy to recommend a company with those kinds of business practices. Different style rings have different benefits, again, these I see as ideal beginner and intermediate rings. Steel and two-thickness rings are a good step up when you get comfortable enough; kensui and rogue are good, albeit pricier, brands for those. ... show more
