Description

Universal Analog/CAN-Bus Steering Wheel Control Interface The ControlPRO SWI- CP2 retains the built-in steering wheel controls in vehicles when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket radio. It is compatible with today's most popular vehicles, even with more complex electronic systems including CAN bus, GMLAN, and Class II systems. The simple to use module can be configured in multiple ways, via DIP switches, direct from a USB connected PC, or a button learning procedure. Wiring and vehicle configuration switch settings are provided through the ControlPRO Web-APP and Mobile APPs for Android and iOS devices. The SWI-CP2 is designed to minimize installation time, much faster than any other products available in the market today.

Worked great on my 2005 ram SWC to an aftermarket radio, setup was a little confusing though due to the website populating an error for my vehicle year though. I had to follow the procedure for another year truck.

    • Terrible instructions and gets uncomfortably hot
After following the terrible instructions and the application instructions this product just does not work. If I could give it zero stars I would. All it does is heat up. The steering wheel controls still do not work. The application for setup doesn't work, all it allows you to do is manually set it up and even then it still doesn't work. I would like a refund for this product but because it has to be wired into the harness I am not willing to return it because I am not unsoldering the connections. ... show more

5 star for product 4 star for installation: Installation was straightforward, but one part was incorrect for my car (2012 Honda civic). If I wired up power + to the positive battery lead like suggested, this device would keep my stereo and other accessories on after removing the key by seemingly bridging the ACC rail and the power rail. I wired power + to the accessory rail and it only turns on when the key is turned and the swc controls don’t work until key is turned to ACC but I’m assuming that’s a Honda flaw. ... show more

    • Easy, straight forward, efficient
Worked like a charm for my 06’ Tundra with a Kenwood stereo. Just download the app on your phone and put in the info for your vehicle and stereo, it will give you the correct dip switch layout as well as a clear wiring guide. Honestly couldn’t be any easier.
