  • Works as intended
Works great just as advertised I wish they didn’t have a white wire with a red stripe and a red wire with a white stripe and wish someone somewhere told you about red solid light means power and blinking green lights when buttons pressed means signals transferred cause it helped a lot with trouble shooting ... show more

  • It works!
I've used multiple of these to setup steering wheel controls on aftermarket radios. As long as you follow the directions, it will work!

  • Easy, straight forward, efficient
Worked like a charm for my 06’ Tundra with a Kenwood stereo. Just download the app on your phone and put in the info for your vehicle and stereo, it will give you the correct dip switch layout as well as a clear wiring guide. Honestly couldn’t be any easier.

  • Complete PITA to install
I bought two of these to install alongside a Pioneer AVIC-8200 in a 2007 Tacoma and a 2009 Accord coupe. Installing the SWI-CP2 in the Tacoma was initially mind boggling before wires were identified.... But worked out and ended up not being too bad. I still can't figure out how to get it working in my 2009 Accord.... The control pro application shows three connectors and two simply don't exist in my car. So there are two wires (each go into separate connectors... That don't exist) that Idk what to do with. Nothing matches up color wise or pin number wise. I got it to power up but none of the buttons on my steering wheel work. The dip switches are set correctly for my car too. I contacted PAC and never got a response. The information from the app for your specific car is worthless since it is wrong and isn't updated. This should be simple but since nothing is labeled and there's no information ....its a nightmare. Two thumbs down. ... show more

  • Everything Went Great
5 star for product 4 star for installation: Installation was straightforward, but one part was incorrect for my car (2012 Honda civic). If I wired up power + to the positive battery lead like suggested, this device would keep my stereo and other accessories on after removing the key by seemingly bridging the ACC rail and the power rail. I wired power + to the accessory rail and it only turns on when the key is turned and the swc controls don’t work until key is turned to ACC but I’m assuming that’s a Honda flaw. ... show more

  • it worked but instructions are not really provided
I am giving this a 4/5 because it did work with my 2002 Saab 9-5. However, the instructions are not very good and took a lot online research and trial/error to figure it out. They basically what comes with the unit says to goto a website and the specific address did not work so I had to goto their main page and look for the web-tool/instructions. The web-tool only showed how to wire the unit (which it did show quite well). There was no mention of programming the unit, which I needed to do, I found a PDF (made by PAC) on another website that explained programming - why could PAC not send this with the unit? I then needed to program the radio, which again no mention of this in PAC's instructions. ... show more

  • Worked but seems documentation and web instructions aren't supported for this model anymore
It did work, however, took some tinkering. The website had issues and gave errors when trying to get the correct wiring instructions in my case (2005 Chevrolet Avalanche without Bose installing an aftermarket android head unit). I don't think they are maintaining online support for this model and have moved on to newer models they offer. I had to figure out the output wiring and couldn't use the TRS (headphone jack), but found references online to what the other output wires were. The instructions weren't accurate using the web based wizard (which had timeout errors and was never able to render all the information after filling out the form). I was left to search the internet for resolution instead of the manufacturer website. But in the end, I was able to get it to work, just felt like I had to dedicate some research and tinkering to accomplish the task. ... show more

  • worked perfect for 2003 Suburban Z71
My Z71 with Bose is fussy just like the rest of ya'lls. This device solves 2 problems. 1. it provides acc wire so you wont have to run 1 to fuse box. 2. provides serial data wire that talks to vehicle for translating that acc wire and steering wheel controls. I used this with an Atoto android double din ... show more
