On the same day I received it I tested it out. I installed the program on my computer and upon plugging it in it turned on great with a welcome sign on it. I followed the basic instruction booklet in its entirety and programmed my message and saved it to the flash drive that came with it. I stuck the flash drive into the usb slot located on the side of the sign panel and like the instruction said i waited for it to say ok and then remove the flash drive. It worked! Bright light and random sequences. i decided to add more text and once I changed the text on the program and repeated process, this time the alphabet turned into chinese characters and I couldn't change it after that. Tried numerous times to unistall program and reinstall and repeat instructions and still nothing. I emailed customer service that was on the business card provided by manufacturer and my email returned saying domain doesn't exist. Got suckered! Oh well..I returned it the same day and got refund back. I'll go downtown and purchase one that I can see on display instead. Talk about an instant elation on seeing it work to super fast disappointment within 10 minutes. ... show more

Make sure to read the paper manual! I had read the manual on the supplied thumbdrive and kept getting CODE E1101 on my display. Finally decided to read the paper manual and found out I was not setting up the machine on the software correctly! READ the PAPER. Display works great!

    • Scrolling LED Message Board Is a great Value!

We received our 40x8 sign and, of course, I had to get in and play with it right away. Although I tried to follow the instructions in the rather sparse manual, I had trouble making the sign to work right away. The good trait of the manual is that it will connect your with HELP by simply going to their website or emailing them, which I did. I received an answer from Nichole within 24 hours and we started working on the sign and its setup. I have to admit it was a bit more than I was capable of doing, but once I returned email to Nichole, corrections began to happen. Although it took a while to get everything going right, She clearly knew what she was doing and had the patience and skill to figure out what the problem was and fix it. We used TeamViewer on my computer and I allowed her to control the system from her computer. The sign is a quality piece of equipment, simple in its design but well constructed and designed. It came with two hangers attached and a number of gadgets to hang it. Simplicity at its best. Well packed in foam with a thin plywood cover, the sign was well boxed. The combination of a quality sign and even better quality customer service makes this message board a real buy. We are going to purchase more from this company. A+++ for them ... show more
