I bought this when I started a fire in my fireplace insert with wood not completely seasoned and i had never serviced (cleaned) the fireplace in 8 yrs. I received a smoke fog back into my home for about 10 minutes while I tried to decide what to do. NTL, I had a smoky smelling home now. I had used one of these at work to neutralize odors in cars that were smoked in or even had people living in them (bio-odor) is aweful. Cut to the chase….Ran it twice upstairs with all doors opened for only 30 minutes each and twice downstairs for 1hour each and odor nearly gone. We did mop floors and wipe down hard sufaces and leather couch but no wiping of walls, no drape cleaning etc. This unit is powerful and does the job. Many swimming pool cleaners are ozone generators. Follow the instructions….( dont stay in any area being treated. air out the room or car etc after treatment. Run your fan or a/c as well while treating. My home is 1200ft2 upstairs and 1400ft2 downstairs for camparisons.

The product is compact and appears to be of good quality. The product was used in a storage area that was formerly a coal-cellar with dimensions of approximately 15 x 5 x 9 feet. The area has become almost stifling with the smell of mold and mildew, to the point of having to wear a ventilation mask upon entering. I placed the product up on a platform and ran it on two separate occasions within 4 days for 60 minutes on each occasion. The change in the air quality was remarkably improved, with little to no trace of the mildew odor. The product was quiet, efficient, and remained cool to the touch. Depending on the longevity of the product, which will be determined after continued use, this product appears to be of good value for the relatively modest cost. At this point I would recommend the product for its performance and positive effect on neutralizing mold and mildew.

This ozone generator definitely does what it is supposed to. I used it in the back area of my house, and it cleared out every odor. No more musty or damp smells. It is quite effective in eliminating whatever the odor issue was. Operating the unit was fairly easy with a main power switch in the back of the unit and a timer in the front to set the operation time length. The instruction manual is very helpful on how long to set the timer, depending on the area size that is to be treated with the ozone generator. The size of the generator is big enough to be effective but still small enough to carry it around and store away easily. The unit I received only needed about 15 minutes to treat around 200 square feet of our house. That seems pretty quick. The first-time use was a bit odd because nothing turns on immediately. The generator has a delayed start (30 - 45 seconds) so you can leave the room before it cranks up the ozone. It should stop running after the timer runs down to zero. My generator unfortunately has a semi-broken timer that is inconsistent on whether or not it will work properly. But considering how powerful and effective this unit is, I think I can work around that timer issue. 4 stars.

This is a very powerful piece of equipment. It is essential that no people or pets are in the building when it is operated. I’ve used it in my car for 30 minutes only, however the car needs to be aired out before use.

I ordered this because we had family stay with us for a week over the holidays. Unfortunately they were both smokers who couldn't be bothered to go outside in the cold to smoke. I was okay that they say next to the fireplace and it pulled their smoke up the chimney. That worked really well to suck the smoke out and we could barely smell it. But unknown to us, while sleeping in our young daughters room for the duration of their visit, they didn't bother to go to the fireplace or outside during the night. They both smoked in her room for a week and it smelled terrible. We tried stuff like febreze, but it only helped a little. A friend of ours recommended using an ozone generator. I ordered this one and it arrived the next evening. You are not supposed to be in the room or even the house while this thing is running. The next day we planned a trip to the mall, lunch and a movie to give it plenty of time to work. After reading the directions, I set the timer and we all left the house. We arrived back home several hours later. It had completed the cycle and you would not believe the difference. I could still smell a bit of ozone but absolutely no smoke smell. The manual suggested to open the window to help dissipate the ozone smell. After maybe 5 minutes the ozone smell had gone. It was like there was no smell of anything. I was very hard to believe it worked that well. I had never used anything like this before, but I will now. My shed out in the back yard has had a musty smell for a few years. It never got worse, but never got better either. I took it out and set it to the maximum time and let it go to work. The next day I went to check on it and it was definitely better but I could still smell it some. I moved the generator to the other side of the shed and set it to run again. The next day I checked it again and it was much better with only the slightest hint of musty. I have a lot of stuff packed in the shed so the ozone must be having a hard time penetrating all the nooks and crannies. But the shed was still 90% better. I really am amazed it works as well as it did. If you have tried everything and still have smells you can't stand, you really ought to give this ozone generator a try. It will help.

These ozone generators are what professional restoration companies use to eliminate odors in fire or water damaged homes. I use them in my vehicles that have been stored awhile like my RV and also in my shed and garage that gets a musty odor. I believe this is what has kept mold at bay in my shed. I have used this a few times now with no issues at all. The instructions are clear and easy to follow (please be sure to follow them closely, but doing so is very easy). It doesn't need to run very long to take care of odors in most spaces. This ozone generator is currently being offered at $50 on sale. I think that is an incredible value for the unit and highly recommend jumping at that deal.
