I'm kind of stunned. I've only had this May, so just about 4 months and it is rusting! Isn't this supposed to be used around water? For $15 and from OXO, I expected better.

I have several OXO items. I ordered this thinking it would be the same quality as the other items I have. Very disappointing that this has started to rust already! It's a sink caddy, thus I use it to store my damp sponge and OXO scrubbers, to that end, it should have better rust-proofing. Looks good, matches the stainless items in my kitchen, arrived on time and packaged well so that was worth one star. Just didn't think it would have rust after barely a month of use. ... show more

I previously rated this item with four stars, but have changed that to two stars. I like the design, however, it began rusting within three to four months from purchase. As seems to be the case with various Oxo products, their designs offer solutions yet curiously fall short. I use this caddy differently than as pictured…I place an Oxo refillable round brush in the large round detent. I use the space under the rungs for bar soap, and place a sponge atop the rungs where it's safe from getting soapy. So far so good and thank you Oxo! Now: for a product with a theoretical removable base, good luck separating the halves. In fact, don't try, that's how hard the clips hold. Not that it matters; a spout facilitates emptying and I've found that the soapy water flows freely and it's easy to rinse clean through the drainage holes. My main beef is … c'mon, Oxo, why didn't you put nonskid feet under the hard plastic drip tray so the thing doesn't slide all over hard/wet kitchen counters? Good grief. DIY remedy: a tube of clear silicon…run beads between the little dot feet, wait 20 minutes, gently tamp/flatten by tapping with a dry finger, let set up, and bingo you'll have what Oxo should've delivered w/o going to these lengths: a skidproof caddy. ... show more

This is my favorite sink caddy! I have had this for a year and love it because it holds everything i need in one place. I usually put my soap dispenser in the round area and I have a bottle brush and the scotch dish wand in the two holders then my sponge in the other area. Easy to drain the water and easy to clean is a plus. This was the solution I needed because in the past I have tried the suction cup caddies and they didnt last long :( Now I don't have to fuzz with it. Also I brought the Rust Laquer spray and sprayed on the item before use. And it looks brand new with no rust. keep in my the coating will eventually peel off, which is how I noticed the rust around the edges. No biggie, I just clean off the rust and then respray it! I only had to respray it once since, and have not had a problem since then. Well worth the investment, I won't need to look for another sink caddy ever again! ... show more

I've had this sink caddy for about a month. Super satisfied that it allows my veggie/potato brush, dish brush, bottle brush, and sponge to be organized in one space. I also make sure the brushes and sponge are rid of excess water, as well as occasionally cleaning the caddy to help prevent it from rusting like it did for the other reviewers. If it does start to rust, I'm sure a little bit of bar keepers friend can take care of that no problem. ;) ... show more

Rust spots all over. I love(d) Oxo for years b/c they offered higher quality products than SimpleHuman at much lower prices. Unfortunately, I think their success is turning them into the next SimpleHuman. Majority of my recent Oxo purchases had quality issues, lacked features other brands offer, or simply broke after a few months, not to mention the prices (gone up with their popularity). They’re not focused on high quality, but rather sales volume and profits. I’m all about making cash money homie, but Oxo don’t forget your roots... ... show more

This little kitchen sink caddy is definitely a handy tool, keeping my soap and sponge up off the counter and allowing them to get air to dry. It's also visually appealing, with a sleek design. However, it's sort of a pain in the butt to clean. There is a spout in the side that allows you to dump out excess water, which is great, but the soap scum builds up in the bottom and warrants more thorough cleaning. Popping apart the plastic and stainless pieces is easy enough, but putting them back together can be irritating because they have to line up just so. I am generally pleased with this purchase. I will definitely buy another when the day comes that this one requires replacing. I just know to be prepared for finagling the two pieces back together after cleaning. ... show more
