Great product. At first I was let down that previous reviews of the lid not being air tight was true when all three cereal containers had a gap and I decided to setup a return. For some reason I decided to review the reassembly instructions and decided to double check. I found that each of the three cereal containers had the flip up lid portion not fully installed from the factory even though from the outside the function and appearance it looks like it was. This was probably done to protect the inner tabs from cracking during transport stress but I am guessing. It wasn’t until I performed the last three steps of the reassembly instructions is when I noticed the seal was now tight and no more gaps exist. I included pictures so you can what I mean. I think OXO quality control has to be tighter or they need to advertise that installation is still needed. This could be the reason why the negative reviews on here of not being airtight when in reality they over looked this part. In the end I cancelled my return. I hope this helps others from making a mistake that I almost made which is thinking that the lid was defective. ... show more

Update: have had these for about a year and a half. Pay attention to shutting them! If they don't click on straight, your food will get stale. Still love them visually, but wish they didnt have any way for air to sneak in the sides. Expensive, yes, but in my opinion, definitely worth the money. I wanted a Pinterest-worthy pantry when I Konmari'ed my house and I kept seeing these everywhere. I tried a few different sizes, but settled on getting all the same size for everything on the same shelf (3.4 cereal). Glad I did because they are so visually appealing to the eye, they are so easy to open and close, see what the content is inside, and pop off the lid entirely for larger snacks that I store in there, like chips that I want to dump out. ... show more

I have many OXO pop containers that I LOVE however I’m not a fan of these. The lid leaves a gap which lets air in. I’m pretty sure that defeats the purpose.

I found a recommendation for these online, with a link to this exact product. These are sold as "Airtight" containers, they are not airtight. I purchased two of the "3 Piece Airtight POP Cereal Dispenser Set", all 6 of the containers have a gap between the dispenser lid and the rest of the lid (see attached picture). For the purpose of sealing the container to keep the contents fresh, these are a complete failure. I recently went shopping at target and saw what looked to be the same model container on their shelf. The model at target had a noticeably more robust seal around the dispenser lid that ACTUALLY SEALED. If you decide to buy these, verify that they actually seal around the opening portion of the lid. The seal between the container and the lid seems to be fine, the seal around the opening portion of the lid is the problem. ... show more

These have got to be the BEST cereal containers. I've only had them for a few days, so as far as keeping cereal fresh I'm not sure, but I have no doubt they will be great! My kids have such an easy time opening and closing them and they don't make the mess they always do! They look amazing and are easy to see what is inside. I can't wait to get some more!!! I generally love oxo products but these are ridiculously cheaply made and fragile. I bought 3 if the smaller ones and 2 of the bigger ones, and I have one of each left (in less than one year of use). Why? Well, one of them I knocked off the top of the fridge. Another one got knocked off the kitchen table by my flamboyant friend doing his usual ballerina twirl to reach for the hand towel. The third one broke being set down on the counter. So that's about $60 worth of plastic that found its way into the recycling bin. The fridge one I can understand but from oxo I would expect that they should at least be durable enough to survive a fall from 3 ft or less. I'm sure part of it is the design, they really like to slide all over the place and are the narrowest at the bottom making them easier to tip over. And the fact that you have to buy a whole new unit instead of being able to just replace the clear plastic part (which is the only part that breaks) is really wasteful and not at all environmentally friendly, either. I'm sure the lids are the most expensive part, and it really makes me mad throwing them out when I know there's nothing wrong with them but there's literally no other container they'll fit and I can't just get a replacement container. Also they don't keep cereal any fresher than a ziploc bag. Again, $20 for a cereal container would be worth it if they kept the cereal from getting stale but they don't so really they're not worth anything. You're better off getting a $5 container from Walmart. So disappointed I'd give it 0 stars if I could. ... show more
